That's the white robots from Dr Who The Mind Robber (1969) which were a borrowed prop from another programme, possibly Out of the Unknown.

Met him a couple of times at the Star Wars fan days at Turf Moor.

Always a pleasant and engaging person with everyone who waited to see him.

He made a choice between being an actor or being a footballer and I don't think he ever regretted it.

Rip.

He plays one of the museum people in The Space Museum with William Hartnell. It's got Vicki as companion so I think it'd be 1965.

It's not half as good as the Time Warrior with Sarah-Jane and Lynx but it does have a brilliant first episode.

Funnily enough I watched The Time Warrior only a few days ago.

Think that was the first ever Doctor Who story I saw on transmission.

It's a brilliant episode 1 which sadly turns into a padded and silly runaround. But I still love it.

I meant The Time Warrior. Not old enough to have seen The Space Museum on transmission.
