I don’t think the day we pay £25 million for a player is far away.
It is highly unlikely it will be a defender.
I have to pinch myself to come to terms with what is a crazy suggestion for our club. Proud that it’s Burnley and not any of our footballing neighbours like Blackburn , Blackpool and Preston . So proud!!!
£25 million , let’s make it a forward
If we were to buy a QUALITY £25 million player...

Probably a good character to have around the squad but far too focussed on social media rather than football as you say. I doubt that t present we'd spend 25m on one player even if we had the money.
Even if the new owners give Dyche 25m or more to spend I cant see Dyche
offloading 25m on just the one player.
It'd be too much of risk and I can't see Dyche taking that risk.
Given the sort of money a few other clubs spent in the summer on some of the top
Championship players/scorers then 25m might not get you that much anyway
and not premiership proven.
If we went for someone in that vein from the CHampionship
then I don't think wages would be such an issue either.
The problem we will have is actually attracting a talented player to come to us especially
if we're still struggling near the bottom.
We may need to look abroad but that is a risk also and Dyche would more
than likely not wish to take that risk either.
What we need is two players who are good enough to compete
with what we've got and hope they can make a major contribution to the fight to stay up.

That Brooks fella who’s still at Bournemouth I think
They might chuck Josh king in as well

Its still not clear to me how we let this terrific player leave so cheap and without an add-on cluse. If I recall correctly there was an agreement he could leave on the terms he did if we were relegated - which we were. You are right he would be a great signing. We might well have scored more than 6 goals by now (5 is it and one og)!!!
