Such a bad player.
Something in my head tells me we were linked with him a couple years before he went to Arsenal.

I thought it did say that, thought it was a rumour of interest in him.
Been a long day and haven’t got my glasses on

I think that might have been Pepsi they were introducing instead of Coca Cola.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 6:59 pmSuch a bad player.

Re: Pepe £70mil
Another "wow" Arsenal stat I saw in a Telegraph article in the week after their defeat to us was
"Arteta had to drop two players from the squad, and he chose Mesut Ozil and Sokratis. The club therefore pays around £450,000 per week to two players who cannot play for the team."
I wonder if that is about the same in wages as out entire starting 11 most weeks?

Re: Pepe £70mil
He’s never going to be anything like a £70m player.
He’s more one footed than Ben Mee and I actually think Mee has a better left foot anyway.

Their cb pairing that started the last u23 game cost more than the ones playing v Everton.

Re: Pepe £70mil
Cheeky bid for Mezut with them paying 110% of the wages??
Re: Pepe £70mil
Another example of a "lefty" who seems can only use his right foot to stand on
If he is on the right just show him down the line and he hasn't got much of a chance as was the case at Everton
Amazed at how common you see this issue with these guys given the amount of time they have to improve their attributes/skills with the right foot (something you don't see so obviously with a right footed player)
Within our own squad you see it to a certain degree with McNeill, Brady and JBG especially the latter two who mainly play wide right
The modern term is "inverted" wingers which is ok if the defender is unsure which way the player will go but yesterday Pepe never once attempted to go down the line and so it was easy to cover

Re: Pepe £70mil
Wenger made serious money for Arsenal ,buying cheap and selling high
The present clowns buy hyped up dross and pay top money for them

Re: Pepe £70mil
Giving Willian a 3 year deal on huge money at 32 years old probably wasn't the smartest move either.
