Very very good performance from Lee Mason.

At least 7 or 8 advantages and let the game flow.

Appreciate he doesn't always get appreciated on here but very well managed
How did he do in the violent conduct which should have been a red card?

Just a shame he misses the obvious stuff. The tackle from Taylor where the camera was pitchside at the time was as clean as you can get. Podence clatters into him and gets the free kick. Sorry but that is basic stuff for a referee.
You mean about 65 to 75 min in? The wolves.player was first to the ball. He didn't need to put his.shoulder in hence why he was spoken to.

Very well managed IMO

Yes I agree basic stuff for a referee.

Would love to see that again and not a still.

It was looked at from more than 1 perspective. Look at player reaction. Nobody was screaming for it. Guarantee if there was a stamp there would have been massive.claret reaction.

That was the best performance I’ve seen, doing a Clarets match, by Mason. Few minor misses but none match changing. He gave us plenty for Ash getting bummed, which many refs don’t give him. Also correct with the pen. & 5 mins added is a minimum of 5 mins so he did not, necessarily, add extra time for the corner.
A much better performance from our lads passing the ball crisply at times and, as always, the workrate is first class.

It was definitely a stamp from the various angles on the replay during the game

Nuno disagrees!
The referee did not have the quality for a Premier League game, this is a problem we know we had Lee Mason before. It is not about the crucial mistake or decisions, it is about how he handles the game. The players get nervous, he whistles from the noises from the players. We are talking about the best competition but he does not have the quality to whistle the game.

"I just don't want to see him more, I told him him I hope he does not whistle a game of ours again. He cannot control the players, the players are constantly arguing. The other referees let the game flow.

Yes and some doubters thought we wouldn't even reach that total, Sheff Utd might struggle to hit double figures on their present form though.

Solid, all round, none stop performance, with Taylor MOM.

Thought Barny did well and could easily have had more than one goal.

C'mon you PL Clarets.
Taylor was good but Ben Mee was awesome!

Ben is always awesome. Great captain, great leader.

A bit battered and bruised today, but he'd run through a brick wall to try and stop a goal.
