No specific MoM as there were several candidates with a fag paper between them but a great team effort all round, maybe now we have found a bit of our attacking mojo there is a light at the end of the tunnel, More of please Mr Dyche. Merry Christmas to all fellow clarets.

Brownhill - 6 good defensively, poor going forward.

The only score below 7 on the whole ratings, comes a few hours after starting a post criticising his forward play. It is almost like some ratings are predetermined, I am sure it is just a coincidence though

Good performance all round. Both strikers on the scoresheet and another clean sheet. Great to see those levels of determination. We looked really up for it and looked like we wanted it more than them.

Big win.

Excellent result last night. After watching the Wolves/Chelsea game last week end I must admit I was worried. We beat a very good side in Wolves and apart from the first 25 minutes made them look ordinary.

Pope 7
Lowton 7
Tarkowski 9
Mee 9
Taylor 9*
Brady 7
Brownhill 7
Westwood 8
McNeil 7
Wood 8
Barnes 8

A great effort from us last night. The Villa game was so disappointing so I wasn’t expecting much. No Vydra, JRod dropped and 2 keepers on the bench. I thought Sean was manoeuvring his exit.
Wolves started very sharply, but we didn’t panic and slowly started to take the game to them. Barnes should have opened the scoring when put through, but made up for it with a good header from Taylor’s sublime cross. Brownhill unlucky with the free kick. We came out really well in the second half. Scored and were well in control, until the slight hiccup at the end.

Pope – 7 – Can only be beaten from the penalty spot these days. Not much to do.
Lowton – 7 – Tried to go forward whenever he could – defensively ok
Tarkowski - 9 – Excellent, calm and worryingly proficient for potential watching suitors
Mee - 9 – Total commitment from Ben. He must be feeling beaten up today, but a great performance
Taylor - 9 – He’s been off the pace a bit this season, but excellent today – what a great cross for Barnes
Brady – 7 – Did pretty well – Could try to beat the full back occasionally, but good control overall
Brownhill - 8 – Much improved on the Villa game – great freekick and unlucky to hit the bar. Just needs to stop giving the ball away cheaply at times
Westwood – 8 – Better from Ashley in forward mode. Pick up a lot of second balls and some good passes
McNeil – 7 – Worked very hard, but couldn’t find the break or pass to hurt Wolves
Wood – 8 – Sharp finish and unlucky with a moment of great control and shot well saved.
Barnes – 7 – He really wanted it tonight. Much better when he stays on his feet. There’s a time for winning cheap fouls, but he looks for it too often at time.

JRod – 6
Pieters - 6

As well as the layoff for the first goal, the touch and turn from the Westwood pass was absolutely sublime. I'm not Wood's biggest praiser, but that was superb to watch, and a real sign of what he can do. He has a great first touch and needs a bit more service through the channels into his feet
