An All Round Excellent Performance
Great stuff
From front to back, really professional performance.

Excellent, I thought Cara’s comment on sky.... we knew they were too good to go down, here come Burnley!

Good to see the forwards scoring as well and I won't be surprised if Wood has a scoring streak for a bit now.

This is what we should’ve taken note of at the start of the season. While most of us were wetting the bed. All the experts and opposition said we are far better than results suggest.elwaclaret wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 7:28 pmExcellent, I thought Cara’s comment on sky.... we knew they were too good to go down, here come Burnley!
Still we definitely need bodies. And younger ones at that.

A very decent performance, though I could have done without the stress of the last five minutes .
Re: An All Round Excellent Performance
Best result so far this season. We are above the relegation line at Christmas, and there is a slight bit of daylight as well. That's an important moment in the season so far. Will have a beer tonight. UTC.

Best performance of the season. Huge win and fantastic effort by the players and management yet again.
Re: An All Round Excellent Performance
TBH apart from last few minutes I wasn't worried once, it just had that we are going to win feeling.

Re: An All Round Excellent Performance
Can't fault any of the lads after that display, we created some good chances, and scored 2 cracking goals, and limited a decent Wolves to virtually nothing in open play.
1 defeat in 7 now, and the strong jaw had returned. We just need to keep going for the festive period, and by the nells we could be in a much better position in the table.
Point a game should be enough to keep us up, and right now that's what we're on, what a contrast to the first 6 games, when we looked all at sea.
And crucially that 3 points will have really deflated Brighton, Fulham & West Brom.

Great performance and could and should have won by more. Superb. Special mention for Charlie Taylor who for me was the mom an outstanding performance well done.

Re: An All Round Excellent Performance
That was as typical a Burnley performance as you will see. Only spoilt by an inexperienced challenge. They never got near us. Brilliant organisation and Taylor was the exemplar.
We managed Adama expertly and the Petiers sub was super. Thought it should have been Bards for Dwight though.
That should enable a quick takeover now.

Re: An All Round Excellent Performance
True. But they have no sentiment or emotion to make such claims for or against. And they also have been there and played it and know what it takes. We don’t.

Re: An All Round Excellent Performance
One of those performances that you know you don’t need to worry, even after their penalty. Reminded me of Norwich at home last season.
Re: An All Round Excellent Performance
Being greedy, wish we had got that 3rd goal.

Great performance.
Did Jay or Benson actually touch the ball?

Re: An All Round Excellent Performance
The most enjoyable 45 minutes to watch this season for me. When we're accurate in attack, the more direct passes are suddenly a joy to watch. It really clicked.

I just think it’s great that Benson, Dunne and Thomas have got minutes this season. Benson barely touched the ball tonight, but he’ll have learned so much from it.

Re: An All Round Excellent Performance
That's our best 90 minutes since the Palace game last season, it shows that when we've dug a few results out, then the performances will follow, as confidence rises.
My only minor gripe is we should have killed the game off long before their late penalty, but apart from that no complaints from me.
Great for both our strikers to bag as well, it's been a long time coming, but hopefully that will spark a scoring spree for them now.

Re: An All Round Excellent Performance
We made a really positive start to the 2nd half. We often get caught on the backfoot but last night we got a lot of players into their half and upset any rhythm they tried to develop. A goal, as a result of this was the icing on the cake.
