Re: Adama Traore
He was doubled teamed again like the game at the Turf and had nothing to give .
Re: Adama Traoré
He's very similar to Allan Saint-Maximin. Both are very good, but both are very inconsistent.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 2:21 pmBecause of his pace, you have an unexplainable, unjustified fear that this might be his one game in 30 he uses his physique to its capabilities.
However, just as the case was for the likes of Jamal Campbell-Ryce, Wayne Routledge, Nathan Dyer and plenty of other pace merchants we’ve feared over the years through the leagues - they’re invariably actually pretty ****.
We just need to learn how to deal with the same situation when we play Newcastle next season, by doubling up on him.
Worked very well again today.
Re: Adama Traore
When he had his target Jiménez, he was putting in a good % of crosses, its as though he knows there's no one to hit...so why bother

If Adama Traore was any good at football he’d be a fantastic footballer.
An incredible lack of game intelligence just looking to dribble and dribble and dribble until he hit the byline and then cross. Always wants the ball to feet, rarely runs beyond the ball, never surprises with an early cross, never takes his man to the byline then rolls it back to the full back after creating the space ....... basically just does the same thing again and again and again.
Part of that is how we dealt with him. But a lot of it is down to him.
Re: Adama Traore
He put every cross today in the stand pretty much. Which is where Jiminez was sat.

He'd be brilliant in a Dyche team. He's missing some qualities that I think Dyche would help him improve on
Re: Adama Traore
Traore? Was that the little fella sat in Charlie Taylors back pocket?

Glad he stayed on....its harder against 10 men.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 2:09 pmFirst of all a superb performance today. Can somebody please explain to me how this guy stayed on the pitch today? It is almost as if that Cork has to go down pathetically holding his face in order for the right call to be made there. What was the VAR officials thinking?

Re: Adama Traoré
I remember him coming on for Middlesbrough up at the Riverside in 2016/17 and being concerned. My mate turned and asked what I was worried about, he's quick but little else.
He had a good season last season but he's very much a one trick pony and I think the hype is way ahead of his ability.

Dyche isn’t the Wizard of Oz. He can’t give him a brain.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 2:46 pmHe'd be brilliant in a Dyche team. He's missing some qualities that I think Dyche would help him improve on

Re: Adama Traoré
That whole fracas was started by Tarkowski when he needlessly tried to pull the grounded Wolves player up (I assume he wanted a penalty for Brownhill's headed challenge). Why didn't he leave it alone?

Re: Adama Traoré
If memory serves it was Podence who put something on Instagram about Burnley being thugs or something in the last match. So Tarks probably got a bit miffed about him trying to con a penalty

Re: Adama Traoré
That’s correct. He suggested that the reason Jiminez suffered a horrible injury was due to teams like Burnley. A little weasel of a man.

Re: Adama Traoré
Teams have figured him out quite simply. He’s far more dangerous in the middle of the park where he can win fouls in dangerous positions. Out wide these days everyone’s happy to let him have the ball and just limit his final ball options.

Was impressed when he played against us for olympiakos but is a diving cheat.

Re: Adama Traoré
That's strange I could have sworn Jimenez suffered his injury at Arsenal.
It's bad enough other teams fans have this misconception that we're a dirty team, the facts don't point to that hence why we rarely receive any sending offs, but for an opposition player to suggest it is nothing short of scandalous.

Re: Adama Traoré
There was a clash of heads in our last fixture (which we also won) when Tarks collided with one of their players. He had a big rant on Twitter which he deleted afterwards.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 7:38 pmThat's strange I could have sworn Jimenez suffered his injury at Arsenal.

Come on. Theatrics are ruining the game. Should he have done what he did? No. Is it a red card? Really?gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 2:09 pmFirst of all a superb performance today. Re: Adama Traore
They are I agree which is my point. Any other player goes down face clutching and traore walks. The offence remains the same. In my book no it wouldn’t be a red but in today’s game of theatrics, and not being able to raise your hand to a players face players have walked for less. It’s almost as if you have to go down rolling about for it to be a red.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 9:06 pmCome on. Theatrics are ruining the game. Should he have done what he did? I understand your point. But putting your hand on someone’s chin is not a red card. To be honest despite the fact cork didn’t go down he still overreacted.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 9:12 pmThey are I agree which is my point. Re: Adama Traoré
Didn’t watch the whole but I saw him double teamed throughout the time I watched and he couldn’t put a decent ball in. Did anyone else see the elbow he gave Tarkowski to the throat in Wolves area? Probably not but it certainly looked deliberate to me!

Re: Adama Traoré
The effect traore had today will have been in part thanks to great management by Dyche and players following his instructions. After saint maximam last week no way would Dyche let that happen again with a similar player.

I think you’ve underestimated that one cc. Cork needs commending for restraint not condemning for overreacting.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 9:13 pmI understand your point. Football so badly needs more players like Cork and if fans can help drive this objective we must save our criticism for the real culprits not role models

Traore can do some incredible things at times and I am certain I was not the only Burnley fan to be delighted to see him score a sensational last minute winner against Fulham recently.

Re: Adama Traore
Agreed, but had that been one of the usual suspects, they would have gone down claiming GBH. Jack Cork brought the assault to the attention of the Ref but didn't make a meal of it. Jermaine Jenas had it right on MOTD. A brush of the hand it may have been, but there must be consistency.
