Wondered where you'd got to Sarum, a very noble act, though it was a few months ago now.

Hope you're well as well as Mr and Mrs Arnoldian !

Ahh I remember! Nice one! Easier to look away and let someone else deal with it, only the decent people help, proud of you

Thanks 1989, but honestly I'm sure many of us would've gone to help if this lady had had a nasty fall right in front of them..

To explain, there is a slightly raised rectangular strip of roughly 5 yards by 12 yards smack bang in the middle of the the quayside at Weymouth. It's about a flat brick's height. It is VERY easily tripped over by people strolling along the quay because a) it's hardly noticeable b) you wouldn't expect it to be there c) most people's attention is drawn to the views overlooking the harbour or the beach or out to sea, especially with the cruise liners docked in the bay there during the pandemic.

A few minutes earlier I'd noticed this raised area just in time as I walked from the land end of the quayside towards its tip. But on the way back just as I reached that raised area I saw the lady trip over it and fall very heavily onto her face, creating a nasty cut above her eye and almost immediate severe swelling. I just happened to be the nearest and first person on the scene to help and to offer first aid.

Similar to the immediate concerns we have when players sustain a nasty head injury it was important that the lady (who was shaken, injured and bleeding but very calm and brave throughout) was then promptly and properly checked over by a paramedic; luckily we were able to find one not too far away. Was great to hear a few weeks later that the lady had fully recovered.
