Brandon Williams
Brandon Williams
Bayer Leverkusen and Southampton both want him on loan. I think he’d be a good fit for us at RB. The type of player we should be looking at.

Re: Brandon Williams
Left back though, isn’t he?
Agree he’s a great player, but not sure I’d want to play him out of position, or that United will allow it.
Doubt they’d let him go to Southampton who they must now consider a direct competitor for top 6!

He’s right footed but has been playing left back for Utd.

Re: Brandon Williams
Leverkusen are trying to sign him permanently aren't they?
He's played 6 minutes football this season in the Premier League so I have to say I haven't seen enough of him to make a judgement.

Re: Brandon Williams
Looked superb when he broke into their side last season. Unfortunately they’ve spent a lot of money in their full backs lately so he’s struggling to get a look in. Would be a fantastic signing but think he’s out of our reach.

Richard Eckersley, Lee Roche..... probably best to steer clear of right backs from Man U.

A whole 6 minutes CT - got to be worth at least £25M thenClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 2:15 pmLeverkusen are trying to sign him permanently aren't they?

Re: Brandon Williams
Would be a lot of money to sign, but a loan (if possible) would be good.
It'd mean he could stay Northwest based, that might be an attraction.
But I'll leave it up to the boss.

Re: Brandon Williams
Hadn’t realised that. I was very impressed with him last season. Thought United looked better when he played than when Shaw did. I’d take him but only if it were permanently or with an option to buy on any loan. I don’t like developing players for other clubs and certainly not United. Would much rather we kept faith in Lowton.
I liked Tuanzebe as well. I’d take him.

I was made up with both those signings when they happened.....disappointment soon took over with both of them...how on earth did they get on United's books...that I'm afraid will remain a mystery forever!TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 2:20 pmRichard Eckersley, Lee Roche..... probably best to steer clear of right backs from Man U.

Re: Brandon Williams
Decent player is scratchpole head, a feisty competitor in the Bardsley mould, wouldn't say no as a right back and yes I know he normally plays left back but he is right sided.

Re: Brandon Williams
Not really seen enough of him but my impression when I have seen him is that he is short of a yard to be a top full back. Gave me the impression that he was just about getting away with it because he was playing in a decent (ish) side. Not sure he would fare so well in a team lower down the league. Loan maybe but wouldn't want to be spending a lot from what I've seen.
Re: Brandon Williams
Can see why Southampton are in for him. He's a typical Hasenhuttl player - quite diminutive, but very dynamic, full of energy, quite quick, and can play on both sides.
I'd be happy to have him at Burnley, but something tells me he's about as far away from a Dyche full back as it's possible to be.

Re: Brandon Williams
Excellent full back but is not going to get past 2 mega bucks signings of Shaw and Wan Bissaka.
Would be a massive upgrade on Matt L, who has been brilliant for us.

Thought he was outstanding at Turf Moor last season but not seen much since.

Doubt anyone will be signing him if he ends up in court, obviously not being played because of his instagram antics
