Baileys

Post by conyoviejo » Thu Dec 24, 2020 9:50 pm

With ice.. Quite enjoyable but becomes a bit sickly if you have too much.. Makes a change from whisky though. What's your favourite tipple?

My m8 years ago always had loose leaf tea at work.

After his brew he dried it and put it in his pipe and smoked it 😒

Drinking a glass of our "Damson Gin" last year 2019 was a great year for Damsons on our tree (none this year at all) we made some Damson Vodka too. We gave away lbs of Damsons too.

Baby Guiness. Tia Maria in first, then Baileys gently poured over the back of a teaspoon to give it the head. Try not to mix them.
Edit. Our first on Xmas Day.

When I was in the army, we used to deploy on exercise with a couple of bottles of “magic milk” (baileys) on the wagon....

04:00 and freezing cold in the middle of the hulu, getting a brew on and using magic milk was the best morale boost ever....

I've had homemade Damson Gin.

Never spill any, it's like tar to get out of anything (especially the carpet I spilt it on).

Monkey Brain Cocktail

Put Vodka and Lemon Juice in shaker field with ice and pour it into the shot glass. After that add Baileys Irish Cream with the straw and you will get the brains. At the end add a dash of Grenadine which will complete our Monkey Brain Cocktail.

I got bored last night and tried mixing Baileys,Brandy and lemonade. It wasn't a good idea. It curdled and although I tried to drink it, it looked like sick and I ended up whizzing it
With hindsight, I should have waited till this morning, read the above comments and tried it with the Brandy but not with the lemonade.
Maybe tonight.

Baileys is the only 'flavoured' alcoholic drink I don't mind. Was contemplating getting a bottle for Christmas. I won't drink anything else flavoured and even drink my whiskey/JD neat (without ice) but spirits tend to make me more argumentative and aggressive so I avoid them.
I stick to beer these days. Although I am partial to a nice Rioja or Merlot. Of which I have two bottles of the latter in the kitchen begging to be opened.
