Harry Kane's dangerous fouls?
Re: Harry Kane's dangerous fouls?
I have now. In the context of which the small snippets of Kane they gave it it clearly dangerous and needs looking at. That said, I’m sure Kane isn’t the only player doing it, but he’s obviously getting “airtime” because he’s Harry Kane.
I’d like to see that type of thing eradicated from the game, it is dangerous and it will injure someone quite badly before long.

Kane knows what he’s doing and he’s worked it out that he can get away with this as he has with his constant diving.

Re: Harry Kane's dangerous fouls?
They've been discussing Kane a lot recently on the radio, about fouling people who're jumping for a ball, he's intentionally backing into them isn't he, or not jumping meaning the player goes over the top of him.
He won't stop it until someone gets seriously hurt

The dive in the last minutes of the game last night to get a penalty was nothing short of scandalous, not even booked for it.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 1:41 pmKane knows what he’s doing and he’s worked it out that he can get away with this as he has with his constant diving.

Re: Harry Kane's dangerous fouls?
Agree he knows exactly what he's doing. Shearer used to do something similar, sticking his backside in and either winning the ball or getting a free kick. I noticed in the Wolve game he tried to win a penalty by diving. He's a cheat simple as that.
Re: Harry Kane's dangerous fouls?
Based on our game, if it was me, I’d be sticking a knee out so that Kane would get it full force in his back, if he didn’t challenge for the ball.
No rule change needed for what Kane is doing, in my eyes. It’s simply dangerous play.

Ah yes, however, darling Harry would be given a free kick every time because a knee in the back is a foul ----isn't it?

Not when a player deliberately backs into the keeper's knee - how could anyone (i.e. the Tw*t in Black) think that is what happened.Ashingtonclaret46 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 5:05 pm

He's going to seriously hurt another player if he continues with this. He'll stop doing it when referees start punishing him for it. I'm surprised he's got away with it so far but there's a red card coming.

He’s Harry Kane. He won’t get punished for it, not even when someone is seriously hurt. It will go down as an unfortunate accident. England’s darling will be blameless.

Maybe defenders should watch a clip of the Leeds goalkeeper to see how to deal with Kane?

Re: Harry Kane's dangerous fouls?
Just not worth it, tim. I have had lots of input on a referees' board that I frequent and it is amazing some of the responses on there from 'modern' referees about the penalty incident and the Ben Mee incident.
Lots saying that it was a clear cut penalty because Pope only got a slight touch on the ball, in spite of the fact that it went of Nick's shin away from goal and was about to be cleared. Most are of the opinion that it was not even worth VAR interfering. Think Howard Webb in April 2009 awarding Man United a penalty against Spurs in similar circumstances when Carrick went down under challenge from Gomes, the keeper. He has since admitted that it was the one decision which haunts him the most because it was wrong because Gomes touched the ball. At the time United were 0-2 down and it brought them back into the game and totally knocked Spurs off their game and it ended up 5-2 to United who went on to win the League finishing 4 points above Liverpool.
He says that it could not happen now because of VAR!
The game has changed beyond all recognition with quite a number of players doing what Harry Kane does and invariably getting the decision, in spite of it being very dangerous. I have watched two games today and the resident sniper must have been in attendance because almost every time a player lost the ball he fell over appealing to the ref.
If I am honest, it is no longer a game which I enjoy watching and that is after 58 years involvement at senior level as a semi-pro player, officiating at the same level, coaching youngsters and referees, managing teams, running local leagues and a 60 team league in the RAF, etc.
The game will continue on its current path to who knows where ............................ very sad, however, it is what the modern fan wants to see because they do not like physicality and, in all honesty, lots of them want us out of the PL because we don't fit the agenda! Look at the comments on many websites and see the rubbish they spout from all over the world.

Easier than saying Jones and Oliver have had a mare I suppose.
