He’ll probably lose his job soon but he’s a good manager and a good sport.

Never feels the need to hide behind a bunch of excuses. Honest as the day is long, a proper Manager.

A really good bloke but they need to change. They literally just play walking football and don’t have a shred of urgency in them.
This will be a really bruising experience for him, and I admire the way he just insists on getting with it no matter what.

Re: Wilder interview.
It would be very unfair to sack him after what he's achieved for the club.
I might be a bit old fashioned, but I think if someone does a job like he's done, they deserve extra time. If they go down, he deserves a chance to bring them back up.

Blades needed a decent striker but wasted £23.5 m on a Liverpool reserve
That's there issue no one to score

Said it on another thread the other day.
If they do go down, he's already earned the right to have a crack at taking them back up.

Re: Wilder interview.
Spoke well about us before kick off and gave an honest assessment after the game.
Re: Wilder interview.
As said previously, seems like a guy you’d struggle not to like. I do feel for him, if you look at their results they’ve mostly lost out to narrow margins!

Re: Wilder interview.
Good man - good manager- remarkable over-achievement past two seasons all catching up with them now - seems bereft of ideas in terms of how to get the required results from this squad - hope they stick with him. If they do what we did and use the PL windfall to buy a 20-goal striker they have a very good chance of bouncing straight back given the overall poorer quality of the Championship
Re: Wilder interview.
I’ve looked at their results this season and tonight is the 11 time they’ve been beaten by a 1 goal margin, in the league. Last year those games were going in their favour

I don't think lack of motivation is something you can aim at him or his playersRalphCoatesComb wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 10:34 pmI hope not. He may be honest and straight but he hasn't been able to motivate his troops this season.

Re: Wilder interview.
Their commitment tonight suggests a team already defeated. Scrapping for their lives yet would rather pass backwards and across the field than pumping it into our 18-yard boxVegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 10:44 pmI don't think lack of motivation is something you can aim at him or his players

Re: Wilder interview.
I like him. Quali-tay bloke.
Re: Wilder interview.
Sheffield United are effectively done now. Be wise to keep him as Norwich did with Farke.
Re: Wilder interview.
I have soft spot for Sheffield United ever since the Wembley match. I don't think it's motivation they lack, it's confidence. They're going onto the pitch now more than half expecting to get beaten. When you're still losing games by narrow margins there's always a chance that things can go your way on the day, and I wouldn't be surprised if they started winning the odd game. But staying up now seems well beyond them.
Re: Wilder interview.
Can’t imagine the comments on here if we had paid 24 million for Brewster !!
