With all the injuries, plus lack of investment, it's bloody miraculous!

And people want the board gone! That’s a marvellous return for our club.

Looking at the last 38 games - it actually starts with the 5-0 defeat at Spurs and there were five defeats in the first seven. And then the start to this season. Yet still 52 points from the last 38. Yet as soon as we suffer two or three defeats we have people calling for the manager's head.

I wouldn't over-estimate the number of people who were calling for his head. I think forums like this give the whingers a platform and sometimes, if you just operate within the bubble of a messageboard, it seems like there are more of them than there actually are. Most Burnley fans don't post on here and the vast majority that I speak to are fully appreciative of what the manager has done and fully understand the limitations the club are working within. As someone said above, it's miraculous what he has done with such a limited squad.

What is mental is that even with dips in form and injuries etc ....

52 points would have us finishing -
2015 - 10th
2016 - 9th
2017 - 8th
2018 - 8th
2019 - 9th
2020 - 11th

You are absolutely spot on. It's just a small number on here but after a bad result or performance or both they tend to shout louder than everyone else making it look worse than it is. Social media is the same, give some people a platform to be negative and they'll revel in it.

Sean Dyche isn't perfect, far from it, but what he's done for our club over the eight years is way, way beyond what we could have even dreamed of.

Well we've finished 7th and 10th in a couple of our PL campaigns, so we really shouldn't be that surprised, we generally have good and bad runs in this league, but we are by no means alone in that respect.

It's hard to reconcile those numbers against what I read here on a regular basis, so can I please ask a) are you sure your numbers are correct, b) please confirm it is Burnley FC who play at Turf Moor your numbers are aligned to ;)

I have had to ask myself on a fairly regular basis on this site regarding whether comments, predictions and even people stating things as facts regarding what will happen if we don't spend big in the next window (for 2 years or more) as to whether I am clueless (no need to answer this :P ) in terms of feeling we will not be near relegation come the end of the season.

Amazing what a few numbers and real facts can do, thank you for the reality check :)
