Former assistant manager Dave Kevan has left the same role today at Port Vale who have sacked manager John Askey.

Only a month ago Port Vale beat Bolton 6-3 away at the University Stadium

Vale's recent form isn't great, but they aren't doing terribly overall, they seem to score a lot, and also concede a lot,

Surprised at PV pulling the trigger as normally they are a patient club, but the cup defeat to King's Lynn can't have helped their cause.

Who knows what would have occurred if the season had been completed last year, as they were on the verge of the play-offs.

Are they? Haven’t they spent most of their history in the bottom two divisions? The ground is a bit of dump and the surrounding area even worse.

Was it John Rudge that was at Port Vale forever? They had a ten year wobble when he left.
