How much would you pay for your ST?
At the minute our ST prices are great value for money. With the new owners looking to increase revenues ST prices could well go up.
What is the optimum price you would pay for a Premier league ST?
309 for mine at the minute so 400 for CF would be my limit I think.

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
You think for one minute I would ever write that figure down or say it out loud?
And at the minute, ST are probably the worse value for money anywhere in the planet.... money paid, no product. I get your meaning tho... if Pace has done his research he will know not to try to screw much more from the fan base he claims to be trying to get in touch with.

The club have been fair with prices while we have been in the Premier league.....but a price hike when we return to normality is inevitable unfortunately, but ive seen some great times on the Turf at a great price and i will always be grateful for thatclaretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 9:54 am** Alan reads this forum **

Won’t the first target be filling the ground as it is?

Absolutely checkov.... we can’t fill the ground as it is, let alone banging another tier on somewhere.

For the economists among you, a price discriminating monopolist would try to discover your maximum bid, charge different prices and then extract the consumers surplus.

I for one am absolutely delighted they haven’t come out with any silly promises regarding what they are prepared to spend and how ‘big’ that will make us.Wellsy1882 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 10:14 amAll depends if they splash the cash and make us a force
Statements like that have embarrassed bigger clubs than us in the past....

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
Let’s be honest, if they went up £50 each I can’t imagine it would change the capacity by much, it’s less than £1 a week. Then again it only generates roughly +1m per annum so hardly worth doing, probably more likely to be £100

They dont need to come out.
Jus back dyche with the few targets he wants and get em in
Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
tricky question with a complicated answer, but it depends on the matchday experience.
I sit in the CFS and we all know the facilities in there are poor, if the expectation is to just increase the cost of the ticket to increase revenue then I'm out and I just wont renew. It has been mentioned many times that the revenue from ticket sales is insignificant compared to TV money. That said, if the facilities improve, and the whole matchday experience improves with it, then I'd be happy to consider paying more to go.
It is a fine balancing act, and one that could turn sour very quickly for the club if they get it wrong and appear greedy without improving the "product".
As it stands though, I'm very happy to pay what I pay to watch from the wooden seats in the CFS and long may that continue.

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
I reckon, given the prize freeze of the last 5 years, tickets are probably in the region of 20% below real market value. They may choose to bridge this gap in a 3 year period, which will mean the gap to narrow is closer to 30%. So 10% per year for the next 3 years, generating a further £1.5 - £2m revenue, per annum with limited additional costs, thus providing the majority of funds for one additional first team player wage.
Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
Increase ST prices would make us seriously consider not renewing and picking which games to attend, if it is on the TV then maybe not bother. Travelling from Lincs is about 5 hours plus in the car most match days. We have noticed the disposable income increase as petrol/food expenses have dropped since we no longer have our trip home every two weeks.

The object will be to increase the consumer spend in the ground, which means
- better offerings within the ground and fan zone
- an attempt to do more hospitality/corporate seating (that is the real money)
- they will target the likes of the Bridge, Talbot, Miners, Royal Dyche, The Turf Hotel, Vintage Claret, Brickmakers (if it reopens), Park View and 110 club for revenues they will perceive should be theirs.

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
Is it possible to compete in the PL with better players without increasing season ticket prices, considering we can't get the same sponsorship deals as the bigger clubs, due to a smaller fan base globally?

That’s one way to build your reputation as being part of the community by targeting local businesses who have been savaged over the last 12 months. I think targeting those businesses is absolutely the last thing they will want to do.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 11:54 amThe object will be to increase the consumer spend in the ground, which means

Corporate is the natural place to start and improving their e-commerce and commercial contracts . All the rest is minimal impact such as:
Maybe making it easier to get to games for local people who relay on private transportation to get to games might be a potential solution albeit this virus will make it more difficult and past tries at this haven’t worked.
Improving what is offered in the ground could work, albeit, I can’t see how that is likely to make much difference given you have little time in there.
Possibly offering packaged season tickets which include programs, food/drink and access to clarets player - make it attractive in pricing- I pay £38 a month for my ST but you could offer a £50 a month package which offered value of a program, access to clarets player and a free hot drink and/or snack on match days.
I hope seeing a thriving economy around the ground is what the new owners want as this allows them to increase the value of the product and experience on offer.
Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
As a single person, after a few years not going on for family reasons and in my sixties there is not much chance of me committing to one seat next to/in the middle of people I might not feel comfortable with. For a seat with wider seats and more front isle space and in smaller blocks, with reasonable drinks availability - as much as it takes to make sense commercially but say below a thousand. I'm keen to get back on but not if I don't enjoy the experience. Hope the new owners think about this when considering developing the ground.

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
There was talk of building to the left of the Bob Lord, as you look at it from outside, as they've done on the right hand side for the offices. They could then have used the new space on the left for corporate guests. The only problem being there were no seats available for them in the ground.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 11:54 amThe object will be to increase the consumer spend in the ground, which means

Paul Fletcher was always banging on about the fact that we didn't have enough corporate seats. I know he came up with that daft scheme of having some in the Jimmy Mac Lower but the fact is we do need a bigger take up of corporates on match days.
Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
After the attempt by the club to blackmail its fans into not attempting to ask for their moneys back being held by them, I wont be buying one again anytime soon! 100%.

Tony or anyone else, do we know what the demand is like for corporate tickets? I sense we have never met demand as the beehole boxes were never converted.

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
I thought it was downright awful. I was in a meeting when we were told that all 2019/20 season ticket holders would go into a ballot should we be allowed back in with smaller numbers. Then they issued that, threatening a price increase if you dared to take out the money they'd been holding for months. That, I can assure you, would not have happened had Dave Baldwin still been chief exec.

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
I’ve long believed our season tickets are ridiculously good value for money - I pay £32 a month for me and my lad to watch Premier League football (although this will be going up a bit anyway as he’s now 10).
Previously, I would have had no issue with paying another £50 or even £100 a season, but knowing that it will now go towards paying extortionate interest to Michael Dell will stick in the craw a bit.

Dear Alan,
Not a penny more.
Some of us have had a very bad year financially!
Unless of course you can lend me a few million.

From my perspective it may not be about the cost of the ST but how the small shareholders in the club get treated going forward. If I'm not happy or we are ignored completely then it becomes a matter of principle and they'll lose two, long term season ticket holders for good.

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
I suppose it depends on your financial situation. The entire country has been ravaged, and some parts, such as ours which relay on working class manufacturing jobs, many of which have been lost (Aircelle, Rolls Royce), have been hit harder than others.
Pre-covid, despite being in there myself, I thought charging for kids tickets in the family stand might free up some spaces. We all know there are people in there who don’t have attending kids any longer, and having to pay an extra £60 or so might have moved them. Right now though I’m not so sure. I think it will take some time to fill the ground again so changing pricing for the next couple of years anywhere in the country will cause problems.
Personally I’d pay slightly more, but not to the levels of Lee Hoos and his American view that Burnley should be paying London prices because it’s the Premier League. That was a disaster in PR for the club.

Talking of Lee Hoos.
What was that scheme called whereby you paid £100 now, but got £100 off next season's Season Ticket?
'Retention Scheme'?

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
With the number of people furloughed, on reduced hours or fearing for their job, I can’t see a price rise of any sort going down well.
Talk of capacity increases is fanciful, let’s just see if we can get close to previous numbers and on current pricing. There’s a lot of people completely out of the habit now.

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
Like many mine is already paid for next season. I think prices should be frozen next season and possibly even the early bird price applied without deadline in order to encourage people back through the gates, and then it wouldn't be unreasonable to increase prices in line with RPI thereafter.

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
I'd be happy to pay more, but I'm in fortunate circumstances.
Comparatively our ST are very cheap, but I'm sure that will be some peoples limit.
Putting prices up would lose us some fans, and nobody is waiting to pay more to come and see us.
Then factor in that walk on prices would have to increase in line and we would start to get some very low attendance figures.
As a percentage of our earnings, ST revenue is very small, so I would limit them to what they are today. That would be 4/5 years price freeze, good PR and the players would appreciate the full house.

Re: How much would you pay for your ST?
Small shareholders have had shares in a business that was owned and run by prudent individuals with a genuine interest in the well being of the club IMHO. That's what I owned. No dividends or special treatment. None expected. I felt part of the club and that was fine by me.2 Bee Holed wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 9:45 amThis is not meant facetiously, but how have small shareholders been treated over the past 3 years or so?

Now I'm a small shareholder in a business that has a very different set of individuals in charge with a business plan that may or may not work going forward. I would like to be acknowledged and given the opportunity to either sell my shares or purchase more and as they are unashamedly out to make a buck or two, I want to receive dividends. I no longer feel part of the club. This is business pure and simple now.
