Mee Nominated For POTM
As per the thread, the skipper has been nominated for Player of the Month, after an outstanding run.
Loved by the fans, Ben gets very little recognition outside of Burnley. Tarks and Pope get their England shouts, but it seems that Ben has always gone under the radar.
We all know how much he means to the team, so a big shout out. Watching the woeful efforts of Maguire et al, I'm stunned that a Centre Back of Bens quality, can't make it into the England squad.

Re: Mee Nominated For POTM
Glad Ben is finally being recognised, his qualities are no secret to Burnley fans, and indeed many pundits, hence why he's the first name on the team sheet when fit, and it's hardly surprising that we've bucked up in form since his return this season, and if or more likely when Tarks goes, then I've no doubt Ben will build a new partnership with Tarks replacement, as happened when Keane moved on, he's the glue that holds us together, on and off the field a great captain and a great man.
I suspect Ben has written off his England prospects now, rightly or wrongly he's not considered good enough on the ball to grace the international arena, personally I prefer my defenders to defend first and foremost, but that's not how the modern game is heading sadly.

If he had that extra yard of pace he would have at least one England cap by now.Had he been Scottish, Welsh or from Ireland maybe 50 caps by now

What a convoluted way of voting. 3 windows and a robot captcha. Done.
