Hallo everyone and welcome to the Tinned Food Count: that revered Ancient Ritual by which we invoke the aid of powerful ethereal forces on behalf of our team in their upcoming match.

Your participation, in the form of Estimates as to both the number of food units and the amount (in mls) of residual liquid contained in my Tin will be accepted up until 2pm today, and the Count Result plus winners' information and updated leaderboard will appear shortly thereafter, in good time for the 3pm match kick-off at TM.

Right, Counters.

The chick peas were much smaller than expected, and the total number of them was 355. Nearest to this was what_no_pies, whose apparently wild guess was just 46 out. He is therefore awarded 5 Counting-points!

With regard to jooose, this totalled exactly 190ml, and RalphCoatesComb had that very figure. He is thus the recipient of three points plus one bonus point, and goes top of tonight's leaderboard!

Ralph, it seems you are keen to Officiate the Man U Count, if indeed the match does go ahead.

This would be fine, but you must bear in mind that the only legitimate World Counting body, and thus the one we operate under, is the WTFCA, or World Tinned Food Counting Association, whose UK branch is the BTFCA or British Tinned Food Counting Association.

Last time, I noticed that you referred to 'regulations' formulated by some scam international organisation, and must strongly advise you rather to stick to the Rules we have followed with great success for many years.

Is this OK with you?

Spot says that he would gladly officiate, should it go ahead but, our cupboards are bare. We have two Fray Bentos pies and a few soggy bits of celery
