Despite our recent history in cup competitions, it is obviously reasonable to suggest the lower the level the opposition plays at the better the chance we have of progressing to the next round.

Probably the one year i don't care if we win or lose, obviously great for the club if we win the FA Cup or at least have a good cup run but could you imagine being in the FA Cup final in May but not being allowed to attend or limited numbers and you don't get a ticket, would be gutting.

I can understand that viewpoint, but the added profile the club would gain from a good cup run, or even a Wembley appearance would outweigh the disappointment of fans being unable to attend, and who knows perhaps by May supporters will be allowed into stadiums again.

Yes it’s a shame. The FA Cup always makes me nostalgic. I preferred the old Wembley. It had a certain class and uniqueness unlike the generic bowl we have now.

Do you remember Di Matteo's strike? The pre-match started with that his sister was blind. WIll always remember this. The commentary was superb, showing her when he scored. I think it hit a lot of people emotionally.

That to me was a perfect example of how it mattered to different people for different reasons.
