The number 15 if I'm not mistaken, yes he impressed on Monday very much so look forward to hear how he is progressing over time.

They play in Claret and blue at the pilot field, and are called Hastings United, but they are really Hastings Town in disguise.
It's as if the venkys went bust and took the bastards with them, then we moved into their ground, wore their kit after a bit and called ourselves Blackburn rovers.

Anyhow, the last two Hastings bred premier league players did well enough. If he can achieve anything close to what Gareth Barry and Kevin ball achieved then we have a decent prospect on our hands.

Welcome to the clarets, Benn. And if you are reading this, you ought to feel well at home as Chris Wood not only looks a bit like Kenny pogue, but right now is playing like him too. We also have a Sam Adams type character although you will only get to see him play in the last 5 minutes of a game.......

I knew Bally is from Hastings, didn’t know about Barry.

Hastings also get linked with jo brand and joanna lumley, but they are both migrants. Jo brand once described Hastings as "the murder capital of the South", but parts of it have improved a bit since then. Its sort of OK if you are used to it, but at least it means that Benn isn't going to be shocked by burnley. They are both compatlratively deprived towns built on hills with some rough areas but with, generally, decent inhabitants. It's just that one has a beach.
Barry was after my time. I'd escaped before he came along.

Having refereed many times at the Pilot Field I can tell you it is a massive pitch.
Lovely club and always made to feel welcome.
Their academy / youth set up is fantastic. Lots of opportunities for youngsters to make the first team early. I suppose when playing mens 1st team at 16 and 17 you learn very quickly

"I am buzzing to be back up here"

I don't know whether that means he's a northerner or whether he was referring to recent times linked with contract, medical etc.

He’s from Hastings ecc - I think he’s referring to having been here earlier on trial
