Re: Amazon Prime
My free 30 day trial was due to end yesterday and was hoping to maybe get another trial with my wife`s email address for the West Ham game today.
Went into the Prime Video app on my TV and I`m still able to watch programmes on there despite expecting the free 30 day trial to have ended yesterday.
So hopefully will be able to watch the game this afternoon.
Just thought I would mention for anyone who is in a similar position with the end of their free trial.

Re: Amazon Prime
You might find if you haven’t cancelled after the trial that you are now paying £8 for Amazon prime as they won’t stop it for you
Re: Amazon Prime
I cancelled 3 days ago to ensure I wasn`t charged the monthly fee, I have an email confirming the cancellation.NaturalBornClaret wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 10:52 amYou might find if you haven’t cancelled after the trial that you are now paying £8 for Amazon prime as they won’t stop it for you

Re: Amazon Prime
I took out a 2 month subscription with Now tv for the re-start games back in June/July. I'd cancelled and was watching cricket (I think), thinking Now had allowed me a full day at the end of my subscription period. The bowler was running in to bowl and the signal went dead.Targetman wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 10:46 amMy free 30 day trial was due to end yesterday and was hoping to maybe get another trial with my wife`s email address for the West Ham game today.

I recommend that you check the exact time when you first signed up for free trial. It might end just before we score today.
Hope it works out for you.

Re: Amazon Prime
I'm not sure this is how it's supposed to work but I pay for Amazon Prime on the day then cancel it straight after the game on my phone and get a refund for the month. It's worked so far for me.
Re: Amazon Prime
Thought we were on BT today for some reason. Already used my free trial so looks like it will have to be Leeds v Brighton. Can't be bothered messing around with streams.

Just create another email account on outlook to sign up to the trail.
New email also comes in handy when you need to provide an address for things but don’t want the constant email spam

As posted above, I do keep the broadcaster info up to date on the fixtures page

Re: Amazon Prime
Can’t believe so many think they should be able to watch the club play for free. I’ll happily pay for one off Burnley matches to get good clear coverage.

Re: Amazon Prime
I had Sky, I’ve now got BT Sport & Prime. I’d swap it all for being at the London Stadium this afternoon and I wouldn’t be able to afford all the tv and going to games, but for now it gives me the option of watching all the games.

Re: Amazon Prime
I posted it on the thread about the Chelsea game. I was in a meeting after tea on Thursday getting some info from Bill Bush who is executive director at the Premier League. He said the next batch should be announced in the next few days so I’m expecting something next week.
He admitted that once they’d done the deal with the broadcasters then it is they who hold all the power but he did say Sky in particular had been very understanding and appreciative of the current situation.
Although he couldn’t confirm anything he did strongly suggest no return for PPV saying that the league was fully understanding of the fans view of that.
Re: Amazon Prime
Interesting bit about Sky being "understanding and appreciative of the current situation" I thought maybe Comcast their owner now will have a different outlook on all things football.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 1:18 pmI posted it on the thread about the Chelsea game. Re: Amazon Prime
Absolute crap coverage .why do we need to see managers, subs sitting in the stands or directors during live play .Often the action is missed why the cult of the manager/owners is perpetuated. SKY and BT sport are bad for this and now Prime are following suit

The coverage was fine. I particularly liked Ally McCoist’s comments on the Burnley away strip, which I initially didn’t like. He initially didn’t like it either but, on analysis, he persuaded me that it wasn’t at all bad.

Re: Amazon Prime
My gripe with Prime is that it's a bit far behind. I knew West Ham had scored as my phone pinged off about 2 minutes prior to seeing the goal
Re: Amazon Prime
The quality of the picture via Prime looks so different on my tv, hard to explain, not sure if it's high quality HD, it's as if they use a completely different technique, just interested to know if others have found the same.

Re: Amazon Prime
The quality on my pc monitor is sublime.
You can even see those funny dimples that Sean Dyche has in the top of his head. Not so apparent yesterday as he clearly hadn’t shaved his head for a couple of days. Much like someone with five o’clock shadow.

Re: Amazon Prime
Pretty decent coverage IMO. Gabby Logan is the eye candy and Ali McCoist the entertainment. Picture quality excellent but I agree with an earlier poster about the cameras panning to a view of one of the WHU Directors, Sullivan I think, when they should concentrate on the game. In all fairness though the cameraman was probably bored and was looking at the young lady next to Sullivan who looked rather tasty, even with a mask on
Re: Amazon Prime
Talking of panning in on Sullivan, the commentators made me laugh talking about the ham and mustard sandwiches.
Just to add for anyone cancelling I would do it no later than 3 days before it's due to expire as Amazon will probably instigate the DD process in that time.

It might be that the frame rate (FPS) is different on Amazon Prime.

She did look exceedingly tasty, hence the reason for panning in.CaptJohn wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 8:55 amPretty decent coverage IMO. Gabby Logan is the eye candy and Ali McCoist the entertainment. Re: Amazon Prime
On the Amazon Prime subject,I pay for Prime and I think the coverage was spot on great picture..West Ham scored before my phone pinged McCoist was quite entertaining ..not a Neville,Carragher or Souness in sight ,wish Amazon did all our games.

I cancelled my free trial on the 12th Jan, it was due to end on the 15th. I got an email from Amazon confirming that I had cancelled and telling me that the 30 day trial would end on the 15th.
Yet it was still active on the 16th and I watched the West Ham game via this. Out of curiosity I tried the Amazon Prime channel again on the Sunday morning (17th) and it was still allowing me to watch.
Monday morning, 18th Jan, and the app is now telling me that I need to subscribe to watch.
Basically I got an extra couple of days out of the free deal so maybe Amazon aren't always on the ball - a bit like our strikers at the moment!

I had trouble with Prime years ago and cancelled it (at least I thought I had), they took an extra year through auto-renew, which I did not authorise.Targetman wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 10:00 amJust as an update to my post above........
