Tonight = The Leicester match last season

Post by tiger76 » Thu Jan 21, 2021 10:51 pm

Certainly plenty of parallels between the 2, we entered both on a barren run, and struggling to score goals, and we faced a team gunning for the title.

In the Leicester game Vardy's penalty miss was the turning point of our season, and tonight Origi's miss could prove to be the turning point of our season.

Fine margins as SD often remarks.

I see what you’re getting at but tonight we’ve just ended a 3 year plus unbeaten record....

Yes of course, but I'm looking at it from a BFC perspective, and this result should hopefully provide the springboard for the 2nd half of the campaign, just as the Leicester result did last season, confidence is an amazing thing in football, and once any team gets on a roll it's amazing how suddenly they get their mojo back, and tonight we've certainly done that, now hopefully we can build on this and go on another good run as we did last season following the Leicester game.

In the Leicester game Pope's penalty save was the turning point of our season, and tonight Origi's miss could prove to be the turning point of our season.

More like Old Trafford for me. But see the point. Dyche and the lads have done amazing again
