Would I Lie To You
That's possibly the most I've laughed at an episode.
When he tried to rip the shirt off... hilarious.

That was just brilliant. Did it get stuck on his mic?
Re: Would I Lie To You
Not seen it yet. We were catching up with last nights "Death in Paradise". Watching "Not going out" now ....

I was sure this thread was going to be about Allison talking to Mike Dean last night, honest Guv. I never touched him, would I lie to you!!

Saw it and agree it was hilarious. After the credits they showed the retake and he did it successfully.
I do like the show especially when Bob Mortimer or Henning Wehn are on.

Not Going Out is akin to Miranda and Mrs Browns Boys...some of the worst ‘comedy’ I’ve ever seen. In fact, the BBC haven’t got comedy right since the 80s, if you want genuinely good comedy you have to go to Channel 4.
Re: Would I Lie To You
Funniest thing on TV at the moment for me. Last nights episode was brilliant. We all need to laugh in the current climate.

I don't like Miranda or Mrs Brown's Boys either, but everybody is different. I know some people who don't like Only Fools & Horses!

I can't remember the last time I laughed as hard as what happened in yesterday's episode. Just brilliant.

Only Fools has aged very badly for me. It was hilarious when I was young, but it’s just not funny as an adultFactualFrank wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 12:01 pmI don't like Miranda or Mrs Brown's Boys either, but everybody is different. I know some people who don't like Only Fools & Horses!

Likewise. And even though you know what's going to happen next, it's still funny!Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 12:15 pmWash your mouth out

I can rewatch over and over. Can’t think of any other program that I never tire of.claret2018 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 12:12 pmOnly Fools has aged very badly for me. It was hilarious when I was young, but it’s just not funny as an adult

Re: Would I Lie To You
The first 3 or 4 series of NGO (especially the ones with Tim Vine in) were good but it's really gone down hill.
Too contrived and generally just not that that funny anymore although Hugh Dennis does get the odd amusing line in.
No idea why I keep watching it actually

I tend to agree. Tim Vine was brilliant in it. I still watch it, as I find it's easy watching, but it's not a laugh out loud programme like it used to be.Vintage Claret wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 12:56 pmThe first 3 or 4 series of NGO (especially the ones with Tim Vine in) were good but it's really gone down hill.

Re: Would I Lie To You
I think Not Going Out is still worth a watch... easy humour that usually raises a smile by the programmes climax. Probably funnier when your home life often reflects the comedy.

Just watched it Raj Bisram trying the shirt trick

For me, I never tire of Blackadder and Still Game.
When OFAH was really funny, it’s was world class, (chandelier, falling thru the bar and Batman and robin coming thru the fog) but even the rest of it was quite funny. To me anyway...
Porridge, fawlty towers and rising damp were all excellent too.

Daft humour is often the best. Yes, Prime Minister I've seen the repeats and thought that was very funny.bobinho wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 2:51 pmFor me, I never tire of Blackadder and Still Game.

I watched the shirt removal ( failure) last night and it was so funny we had to watch it over and over again. Hilarious

Just a heads up in case anyone didn't catch it. They've moved WILTY to Monday nights. Next new episode is tonight instead of this coming Friday.
