It’s great watching these old matches when you do not know the score

Re: The Big Match Revisited 10 30am
leyton orient fc claim they were founded in 1881 but as they didn't play football until 1888 i would suggest this is disingenuous.

Definitely a pen - but we should have had one in the first half as well!

Interesting line up. Billy Rodaway in the '9' shirt..he will have been defending no doubt with Peter Noble pushed further forward.

Re: The Big Match Revisited 10 30am
Was Colin Waldron playing midfield?
Thomson & Rodaway at the back. I was on but didn’t remember that ever happening.
John Jackson, the Orient keeper, gave one of the best displays ever in a 0-0 ont’Turf in our Champions season.

Re: The Big Match Revisited 10 30am
Can remember how disappointed I was with the result. We were still in with a chance of the title and Arsenal were flirting with relegation. As it was we would only win once more that season as injuries and tiredness took their toll

We lost 2-1 at home to Orient in 1972-73 - a shock result.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 12:41 pmWas Colin Waldron playing midfield?
