I trust Spot has been wormed prior to kick off, we don't want him dragging his backside across the pitch, its difficult enough as it is.

Careful. You don't want to upset the VAR official before the season kicks offWile E Coyote wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 8:24 pmI trust Spot has been wormed prior to kick off, we don't want him dragging his backside across the pitch, its difficult enough as it is.

Only just seen this
The Leeds (Champions of Europe but not actually) of Spot The Ball will have a do again please.
Looks to see if Buxton (Spot's owner) has entered..... oh yes he has.
I'll give it a miss then.

Re: SPOT THE BALL - 2021 Starts 1 February
It seems this is why Buxton has been neglecting his Food Count Estimating lately.
No doubt Spot gave him earlier info about the new STB season before Ralph announced it, and he has been training in secret ever since.
What hope then for the rest of us when the competition starts?

HOT OFF THE PRESS
My mate with the Box Brownie got a new printer for Christmas and has offered to produce a Special Edition Spot the Ball print for this season's winners (Cup and League). Spot has even offered to sign them.
Obviously, they will be worthless in future but a must-have for any True Claret, to go alongside your Bad Beat Bob knickers and replica 1914 FA Cup shirt

I've heard that you're starting this season on minus 10 points for spotting irregularities.

New Leagues for 2021
Choices at present are:
Tom Heaton v Nick Pope
Ray Pointer v Willie Irvine
Robbie Blake v Steven Defour
Spot says he's open to suggestions

So there will be three divisions, Ralph, will there?
Or are we supposed to vote for one, or two, of the three?

I'd go for Pointer and Irvine, then.

Re: SPOT THE BALL 2021 - New Leagues Announced - Starts 1 February
Obviously, no one would cheat on this forum BUT, e-mail submission will be available to all players. As with previous Seasons, this will not be compulsory.
Gamespersonship is something that will never be eliminated, "Game Management" appears to be a common term. Just look at Jay Rod, JBG and Dwight McNeil taking themselves off to the corner flag last night I believe, though I didn't see it myself, that the best proponent of this skill was the GREAT Jimmy Mc himself.
To answer your point... what was the questions ?

My dad said Jimmy Mac was so good, if the whistle hadnt gone, he’d still be in the corner with the ball...

Re: CHECK WHICH LEAGUE YOU'RE IN - SPOT THE BALL 2021 - NEW LEAGUES NOW IN - Starts 1 February
You took my comment about giving it a miss because Buxton was playing as literal then.
I'm taking the ball home, so good luck trying to spot a ball that's not there, even though that's what the game is about.

Giving it a miss would normally mean "I'm out" but if I misread that then, obviously, I'm thick.
Now "Taking your ball home", is that in, out, or do we shake it all about??

I see the greedy players of the game ignored the will of the fans and went ahead with their own Super League with Buxton, Bobinho and Dazzler together.
Which TV company got the rights for the live games and how much do each of the greedy buggers get?
