I remember Lincoln, Wimbledon, Telford, Darlington (how did we throw that one away) & Cheltenham, when did we lose to Shrewsbury in the FA Cup, I don't recall that one.RalphCoatesComb wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 9:37 pmRemember Lincoln, Wimbledon, Shrewsbury, Telford, Darlington, and Cheltenham![]()

TBF if we lost tomorrow it would hardly class as a shock, I'd say it's a 50/50 game, and if we get through that, then you'd assume it'll be Bournemouth at home, now they are going well in the Championship, so that is certainly not a given, but equally they might rest a few if promotion is their number 1 priority.
I'd definitely rather have this draw than a visit to the Etihad again, but in the words of FF, one round at a time.

A decent Cup run would be nice but not imperative.
Keep all players fit and performing in the league is.

Ah! right I was only 5/6 at that time, hence why I don't remember that game.RalphCoatesComb wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 10:34 pm39 years ago TODAY.

It’s a strange old season. Who knows? We could have a cup run and do quiet well

True but that game has been mentioned loads on here, that's why it's ingrained in my memory, the name Dickie Guy still throws up nightmares now.

Think there’s the tricky game against a premier league opponent away from home to worry about first!!
Hoping to see LongTimeLurkers tip Tete at RB for them tomorrow. Fulham signed him for €3m in the summer.
Also hoping to see Mumbongo and Glennon at some point too.

We hadn’t lost in the league since early October and Shrewsbury were struggling in Div 2. If I remember rightly we played in our white 3rd kit that day. We looked very comfortable until Chic Bates snatched the winner near the end at which point things got a bit lively in the away end with at least one policeman’s helmet ending up,on the pitch

I was there. Spirited away following. All over the town before the match. Good days.Culmclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 11:18 amWe hadn’t lost in the league since early October and Shrewsbury were struggling in Div 2.
