Not perfect defending, but it was more a good goal than a cock up.
Need to respond now.

Very sloppy marking.

Good save Pope

Looking sharp Villa
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Christ. Villa nearly score again but the flag is up. We're really struggling here.
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Villa look sharp going forward, it’s how I aspire us to be

We are terrified of getting a challenge in on Grealish. Clatter him.
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Their movement off the ball is very good and ours is very poor. Simple as.

Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
And that why we need a new rightback. Lowton stood ball watching 10 yards from his man
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
I agree. I’m not condoning breaking his legs, but if he will wear infant shin pads he deserves to get hurthuw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 6:18 pmWe are terrified of getting a challenge in on Grealish. Clatter him.

Villa a very good team to watch at the moment. To think they really shouldn’t have been in our division this season....

It was good football and a great run from Watkins

The last thing we should do now is just sit back still but that’s how we roll.

Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Full back tight inside as usual leaves their player open to cross the ball. Good goal though. Personally I would have played Cork in midfield with Brownhill wide instead of Brady in order to nullify Grealish.

He nearly always is. Get Gudders on.
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Up until they scored we were all over them. If Woods goal had stood instead of ref blowing for a nothing free kick this would be a different game. Refs have been poor for us this year.

Lowton has to get a grip on Grealish. He is already running the show.
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Bardsley may have been useful to nullify Grealish

Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
It was a well worked goal but Mee lost his marker that close to the goal was poor. But then again he is a limited player and always seems to make at least one boo boo per game.Taffy on the wing wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 6:23 pmIs it always someones fault?..........it was a well worked goal!

We are way off it here. The two centre mids are nowhere to be seen.

Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Those who’ve been calling for Mee to get in the England squad, observe the goal and his position and ability to defend with players in behind.
Hope that ends that debate.
