Villa deleted tweet
Anyone see it... about coming to Turf Moor and being fouled inevitable.
Really can’t imagine our club doing that.
I also note Alan Pace seems to follow loads of our players.. even the young lads.

The only option will be to close the Villa Twitter feed down if that sort of insubordination continues.

I have never seen a team who fall over to the slightest coming together.
When they struck the bar in first half it came from a free kick on the touch line where there was no contact with player.
KARMA prevailed.

I’m glad this has been brought up. I saw CT’s tweet about it, went to their page but it had gone. Didn’t know what the fuss was about. Ridiculous from a professional sports organisation. It wasn’t even a robust challenge.

Agreed. Dropped like flies at the slightest touch. One incident between Barkley and McNeil where Dwight barely touched him and he just threw himself to the floor. SD was just laughing and asking WTF. They of course, as on many occasions conned the inept Tierney. Bloody useless ref. Hope we dont see him for a long time.

Well done to Tarkowski for recovering from that early booking and keeping well clear of any red card while being effective against a very good Villa attacking threat.

The tweet was cynical, totally unprofessional and that's why they've deleted it. I haven't called for someone to lose their job, but a ticking off wouldn't be uncalled for. Maybe Tarkowski and Mee should have been given the benefit of doubt?!Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:29 pmDont be so cynical, in these tough times you should always try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

For the Barkley “tackle”, the commentator, watching the slow motion replay, said he is going down in instalments.prettygreenclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:05 pmAgreed. It appears it’s not just the club that are deleting tweets
It seems that their reporter from the Athletic was having some dig, which has now been deleted, which Bentley has pulled him up on

The original tweet was obviously alluding to Ben Mee’s challenge on Wesley last season, which was actually a brilliant tackle.

Funny quote from a club who's had more player's sent off in 19 games this season than we have in the last 5/6 season's in total

Commentary I listened to actually commented on the time wasting.
Was along the lines funny old game, Pope now wasting as much as he dare, wasn't long ago villa were doing exactly the same thing.
All part of the game nowadays. Think these little buttercups need to suck it up.

I think it's a (very weak) attempt to backtrack. Fair play to Daz B, too, who I've been critical of in the past but rightly brought him down a peg.
Surprised by Villa last night - proper club with proper fans usually but a lot of billy big time stuff from the comms etc which was disappointing.

There were two or three times when Villa set up for a short goal kick, Burnley forwards came to the edge of the area, and after a pause to see if our forwards would go away, the keeper waved everyone upfield and kicked it long.dpinsussex wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 4:01 pmCommentary I listened to actually commented on the time wasting.

Pope obviously took notice. And the ref could hardly listen to Villa's complaints that we were doing what they had been doing!
