I wouldn't watch much past October if I were you - you will have seen the only good bits by then.

Just watched the goals from the 6-0 win against York, quite poignant for me, it was my dad's last game.

1 Hour in and Chris Pearce is fouled at home to Cambridge United but it's not given.

The commentator says "we have heard about this referee, he's all thighs, whistle and mouth but probably not a very good ref" I reckon that could be used about a few modern day officials as well.

I thought we were going to win the league after that 6-0 v York, got the VHS and everything. First of two of the most forgettable seasons you'll ever see. Although I think it does feature 'that' Friday night at Stockport.

Didn't the manager Bobby Saxton get sacked after that defeat?

He got some stick that day from the Burnley fans and I think it was his last match in charge

This’ll be a tough watch.

Mid table mediocrity in the 80s FL Divison Four.

My final year at Uni in Manchester. My main memories are catching the x43 from Chorlton Street full of hope followed by a depressing journey back.

Remember the Luton cup game at home and thinking it was a massive game after a good result at there place.

The highlights of the away game of Stockport seems to have missed out a few incidents

I think it should be mandatory for all young supporters (who are whingeing about our team having recently beaten Liverpool and Aston Villa) to view this video as some sort of initiation / reality check.

Haha!

Part of me agrees. Part of me thinks we'd frighten them away. :o

Watch it ?

They should be made to pay and go to the games, rather than watching a free stream of current games these days and still whinging :D

Also have the VHS of the whole York match still at my dads house!

Don't think I want to watch those years again. Going through it at the time was traumatic enough.

By the end of the season our league record against Scarborough who has replaced Lincoln in the league the season before was P4. W0. D0. L4. Ugh! They were the equivalent of Man City today!

Just watched in full. Pity it finished half way through the Scunthorpe game. Was flipping cold that day. Great following but disappointing result (1-2) although we had plenty of chances. We went into the game top (Nov 5) but this was the turning point and we didn’t win again until New Year’s Eve. The next match was a 1-4 horror show at home to Lincoln
