Just get it over with and then move on to teams on our level.
Let them bask in the glory and they can then bugger off from whence they came.

Damage limitation, no injuries, no suspicions and dont be tiring ourselves out chasing shadows.
Hopefully City go easy too.
Just a nice and undisgraced routine 0-3 hopefully
The big game is Saturday

Re: Score prediction v Man City
0-3 City will rest a few also, and Pep seems to have them doing enough to get the job done, and then they cruise the 2nd halves normally.
As long as we collect 3 points against Brighton that'll satisfy me.
The main thing tomorrow is no more injuries.

Between 0v3 & 6
Will try and watch it, probably the one fixture in our calendar I’ve no interest in watching.

Brady can stay injured.
Re: Score prediction v Man City
One small glimmer of hope, our nemesis Kevin De Bruyne is injured so it might be closer than many on here are predicting.
Re: Score prediction v Man City
Our last four results at home to them:
1-4
0-1
1-1
1-2
Home games have tended to be closer games.

As long as we don't play 442 and keep it tight , pressure the ball we could frustrate them and get a point

0-4 because we catch City on an off day and Pep is blaming the referee and our physicality and negative tactics after the game.

Re: Score prediction v Man City
Can’t we rough them up a bit (extremely hard but fair) like what used to happen in amateur games up Towneley?
Our manager’s pre-match talk used to be ‘alright lads, same tactics as last week, go out there and **** them’
Like the old Lancashire saying
‘If you can’t beat them then duff them up’

Clarets, 1-0.
Re: Score prediction v Man City
I despise City. The way they trawl for players in an angling competition. The way it's considered legitimate to cheat and rejoice in that. To cheer them on is like going to the casino and cheering for the 'house' to win. There's an underlying arrogance that pervades all. Their effeminate, ballet dancer football is brilliant yet so tedious. So 0-5 then!

Re: Score prediction v Man City
despite the score prediction, its a game for billionaire clubs to excel. We wanted to reach these dizzy heights, and now we're here we cannot hope to match this sort of cash rich superclub. It was never fair.Antmass wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 10:48 pmI despise City. The way they trawl for players in an angling competition. The way it's considered legitimate to cheat and rejoice in that. How their fans can regard their team as worthy is beyond me. Pep is similarly overrated due to his spending power in manchester, and elsewhere. give the sacked managers a similar bankroll, and we would see a different picture.

0-5. Treat it like a cup game. Rest a few players, no cards, no injuries, move on.

Re: Score prediction v Man City
I was trying to buoy myself up for tonight by watching highlights of the 1-1 draw from 2018 when JBG netted for us about 10 minutes from the end. I know Sterling misses from 6 inches, but we really were excellent that day and really could so easily have won. Stirring stuff and a bit more of that definitely wouldn't go amiss!! (But I still think it will be 0-4 tonight and we'll be lucky to get 0)

Re: Score prediction v Man City
1.1 late equaliser from Mumbongo. If there had been a crowd this would have sparked
“Who put the ball in the Arabs net, super Joel Mumbongo.” what I’d give to hear that ringing round the ground!!
