MIGHTY CLARETS versus Manchester City
MIGHTY CLARETS versus Manchester City
We appear to be preparing for a downfall, with 'injuries' and touch and go' references. Next match perhaps, deemed more important.
I hope that those Heroes who don the shirt tonight, demonstrate.once again, that Burnley can never be underestimated and you never know....a wee surprise or several!
Anyway, I shall be taking it one match at a time and 3 points for the Clarets would be wonderful.
Madge thinks similarly and is hear to invite all Burnley fans in a rendition of No, Nae, Never.
Come on you Clarets!

Anything better than a 3-0 loss is a bonus. Give my right arm for a draw or better!

We'll lose as per.
However, it would be a huge boost to see one of Jay or Vyds get their first PL goal of the season.

It is all football related. Not even an issue on the title and yet there remains a vindictive approach towards... me? (Personal thought, as I appear to be the target)
It is tantamount to bullying. Fortunately, I can sigh and shake my head but it does not do my morale or sense of belonging any good.

Pep going with a strong line up, I'll only go for a few a one apiece draw.

Exactly my reaction. I wonder if they know he will always go to his left foot and shoot from the right side? Should I send a fax?

Is this first time for Richard Nartey on the bench.?

i will be interested to see if Pieters deals with Mahrez differently to how Taylor does.
Or does our narrow defending just play straight into his hands (well, feet really)

we will win tonight, City haven't had their usual lose away at a lower team game yet this season

City struggling a bit tonight because they only have around £170 million on the bench, Chelsea managed £307 million!

I am looking at the bench and looking for some inspiration-wonder if Mr Pace has the same concerns. It means we are unlikely to make a sub and have an incredibly important game in 3 days

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Manchester City
Nice to see Gudders in from the start as well as Vyds and JayRod. It certainly doesn't look like a 'Surrender team' and think about the next game as more important. This could be our front two for a while now if neither Wood or Barny can get on the bench. Hopefully that means we'll try to play football and keep the ball on the deck a bit more?
Are you listening Popey? A few less big punts upfield might be in order.
C'mon you different looking Clarets.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Manchester City
Constant 442 against City
Its constant 442 against everybody !
I'd think about getting your ears tested if you've heard him previously say he likes to mix it up
I'll be the one in front of you at the clinic cos I thought i'd heard him say he would play a much more expansive style if he had better players

I do wonder why we didn't go 4-5-1, at least that would mean one less player not getting a touch, and one forward rested for the Brighton game.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Manchester City
Can’t say I’m looking forward to this. So many thumping in recent years going back to Stan’s tenure. Just the sound of Mahrez’s name gives me panic attacks. Mind you, so does Sterling, Gundogan... at least it won’t be De Bruyne tearing into us tonight.
What a side they are. Fantastic to watch, when playing somebody else

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Manchester City
Greetings from SW Ontario. Once again a picture perfect mid-winter day, minus 8, slight breeze out of the west and the sky is as blue as blue can be, for as far one's eye can see.
As for today's game, that's another story Looking at the line up and bench, it must be a while since were so depleted! If we're behind by 2 or 3 at halftime, which is a distinct possibility, Dyche may as well make wholesale changes and save some legs for the next stretch of winnable games.
It's not difficult to predict a hammering today, however, rabbits have been known to appear from Dyche's hat on occasion.
