Positivity

We could do with a bit more of it, me included.
Sheffield Utd fans think they can stay up.

Chelsea and West Ham for them next. Lose both of them and they can quickly say goodbye to those dreams.

West Brom's next 2 are Spurs and United, Fulham's next 2 are West Ham and Everton, so we could well find ourselves 10 points or more above the bottom 3, with the games running out for them.

West ham have history of handing neighbours in need, points. It might be a myth, but it happens a lot. Spurs are the same.

Bottom line is, it doesn't matter what they do, its in our own hands, and getting beat by Chelsea and City, was never going to define our season. I don't think the players, or manager, feel they need any positivity. They live in the real world. We are doing OK, after a very tough start.

Prior to the Liverpool, Villa, Chelsea and City games I think even the most optimistic people would have happily taken 3 or 4 points. I dare say some would have been happy with 1 from that list.
We've taken 6.

We will take 6 points from Brighton and WBA games then do a rare double over Palace with a 6th round FA cup tie to look forward.

Totally agree that 6 points is good from those 4 games. We need to try and play 90 minutes of football (like the 25-30 mins v Villa) rather than hoofing it aimlessly for most of the game.

True it's hard to judge Burnley in the last couple of games, and I hope players were rested and not injured , but if we lose on Saturday how will you feel then ;)

I like your thinking WC.
Finish the season off doing the double over Liverpool. When was the last time that happened ?

I'm glad somebody has remembered we're still in the FA Cup, that fact appears to have been forgotten amongst all the doom and gloom.

I sincerely hope we can put a few wins on the board, get some further space between us and the bottom 3, and then we'll be able to have a real crack at the cup this year, who knows when such a chance will present itself again, we could be talking another decade or more, so it's vital that we go as far as possible, even a last 4 appearance would give everybody at the club a huge lift, and allow us to reach a truly global audience.

And whilst we're doing the double over Liverpool, we might as well do Arsenal as well. First time since 1962/3. These chances don't come along very often :?

We picked up a useful point today after falling behind. And we are inching towards safety. Good 2nd half performance and if we carry on in that vein we'll be fine.

Never once this season have I thought that we would be relegated. We have far to much experienced to be in the bottom 3

12th spot with btm 3 as they stand today
