Sky Atlantic. S1 E1 repeated Sunday 9pm. Full series on catchup already. I’m a fan of Gommorah so tried it and enjoyed it.

If you don’t normally watch stuff with subtitles give it a go. You’ll get used to it and catch some great tv.

I like Gomorrah. Another good Italian one is Suburra Blood on Rome. I prefer it to Gomorrah. Story is about 3 guys who set up their own gang near Rome. Two are rejects from different crime families and the third is the son of a Rome detective. There’s a film as well but go straight for the series. On Netflix - 3 series

The first part is set in Italy, so there are subtitles, after 20 mins it moves to America and the majority of the first episode is set in the US there are bits in Mexico and Italy, honestly, don’t be put off by subtitles, the first episode is a belter, no idea what’s going on though.

Any fans of Gomorrah and Zero Zero should make a note of the film Dogman (2018) which Premieres on Ch 4 at 1am from the same director Matteo Garrone, and is an Italian crime drama based on fact. In a run-down town, dog groomer Marcello sells cocaine on the side. But his best customer is now crippled with paranoia and is dangerously unhinged,

Gave it a try and thought it was rubbish tbh, and I was a big fan of Gomorrah until the last series.

If you enjoyed Gomorrah don't dismiss this film either. Received a 5 star rating from The Guardian film critic in 2018 when the film was first released with the comments "It's a movie which returns this film-maker to the realist mob world of his 2008 film Gomorrah, but which goes further and is a movie with incomparable bite and strength."

Brilliant series - can't belive it hasnt had more hype. Subtitled just blended in, and actually really added to the authenticity of the mexican/Italian segments.

Not sure if it's just me, but the qualify of some of these shows has really spoilt feature films for me. Just can't pack as much story telling into 2 hours

Watched Dogman tonight. Definitely worth a watch, if a little bleak!
