The point is all mangers whinge about it when is goes wrong especially when their team completely implodes as Liverpool have done. Remember Fergie, Wenger, Jose, Pep, Benitez et al. Why should Klopp be any different?

SD never places fault on the opposition, in fact he is very respectful. It’s officials and decisions that wind him up and invariably he is correct in his assessment.
Klopp is one of the worst at blaming the opposition for his side losing.

You only have to look at Klopps interview after we beat them to realise he's not dignified at all in defeat. He refused to give us any credit that day.
As mentioned ..... pr**k

Re: Jurgen Klopp - At It Again
Why does everyone start frothing at the mouth every time this man speaks.
Sir Alex whinged, Jose whinges, Arsene Wenger whinged, Klopp whinges, Pep whinges etc etc.
Tell me, how many trophies have they won compared to the all so dignified non whinges?
It’s pretty obvious they are out of the race after that result. Manchester City need to lose 4 games and Liverpool win everyone. That won’t happen, so why does a reporter use up one of his questions with a silly one?

Re: Jurgen Klopp - At It Again
Basically, it’s Klopp getting narky when a journo asked him a question. After the match, different interviewers must only get two questions and Klopp becomes awkward because he believes the journo wasted his questions.
I don’t understand why managers just can’t be polite. I understand they are under stress and disappointed with the result but there’s no need to be a bellend

I wonder how many of these interviews they have to do after every match. I can understand if they do not behave perfectly especially after a defeat.

Can't stand Klopp personally but had to laugh at a comment on BBC last night calling for him to be sacked. 'Taken them as far as he can'. You just won the PL for the first time in over 30 years ffs and the European Cup!

Or they’re being over zealous?

I'm pleased if that is the reason, Just disappointed that it was then repeated. I am a Burnley supporter and have been non-stop for about sixty years . I have never understood why some posters ( very few now, thankfully,) can actually sit in front of their keyboards and purposefully type out something they must know is offensive to other clarets who value the name of the founder of the Christian faith being spoken of with respect.
There are other founders of other religions who are never spoken of in the same way.
As for being a snowflake , I guess that is meant as an insult too. Perhaps the mods should delete.

Would make the year if the day fans returned was the day Liverpool lost the title.

Thing with Klopp is that he is that he puts himself out there as being all about the banter and the lols. This is all well and good when he is winning, but now we are seeing a different side to him and the veneers are slipping.
Re: Jurgen Klopp - At It Again
He’s not a bad guy, but he’s also very stubborn and at times arrogant, and he makes himself an easy target with excuses. His tactics are being decoded and he has no Plan B. Mate of mine is a Liverpool supporter and he seems to think something is rotting inside their room. Aside from the injuries all over the club, it is rife with tension amongst the players. Personally I sense Klopp is bordering on burnout like he did at Dortmund. What’s more, for such a “big club” as they fancy themselves, their American owners operate on a sell to buy policy. I was a bit surprised seeing their net spend, relative to other PL clubs, over the last 5 years.

He was disrespectful to the reporter. No need for that.

Re: Jurgen Klopp - At It Again
What if he has reached the peak of what can be achieved with his methods? What if the players are tired of him? What if they need a change?
It seemed to happen at Dortmund, so its not outside of the realms of possibility that it could happen here.
Re: Jurgen Klopp - At It Again
Oh I agree. Every manager's shelf life is limited but Liverpool fans need to get some perspective. They don't have the same financial clout as some of their rivals and do have to sell to buy, within reason. Klopp has brought them success where so many others have failed.ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 12:24 pmWhat if he has reached the peak of what can be achieved with his methods? There a difference between having a rant and being down right rude. Klopp is just rude and with the looks of it not very bright either as he was the one who didn’t have his facts rightcorporal jones wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 5:09 pmThe point is all mangers whinge about it when is goes wrong especially when their team completely implodes as Liverpool have done. Apparently his mother passed away at home in Germany yesterday and because of Covid-19 won’t be able to go back for the funeral.
Perhaps her health was at the back of his mind during this after the match press conference.

Re: Jurgen Klopp - At It Again
It is always the same for public figures, the public (fed by the media) assume that everything else in the house is rosy. One of the tragedies generated by the Pandemic is that families cannot come together to both grieve and celebrate the lives of those they have lost, it is not something that you can just postpone, the moment and the benefit it generates for those feeling the loss is almost totally dissipated.DAVETHEVICAR wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 12:59 pmApparently his mother passed away at home in Germany yesterday and because of Covid-19 won’t be able to go back for the funeral.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was unable to return to Germany for his mother's funeral on Tuesday because of Covid-19 travel restrictions.

Re: Jurgen Klopp - At It Again
whilst totally understandable in his situation (because nobody is totally heartless) I hope he goes some way to apologise in private to the reporter. Allowing a private grief to affect his public persona is always going to happen, but he could have dealt with it differently - perhaps just by answering questions with short and sweet responses, there was no need to be abrasive like he was.
That said, as mentioned above the private and personal aspects of people in the public eye are often overlooked and everything is usually assumed to be fine. The media do need to learn to consider that these people they interview each and every day will have personal issues bubbling away underneath the public persona and they also need to stop making it a story when something like this blows up in their faces.

It seems more and more common that interviewers bait managers into heated reactions and whilst this is not necessarily the case on this occasion, I have little sympathy - in fact I'm sure the interviewer is pretty pleased with the amount traction this has received.
