Hard to think that was only 6 years after the Orient game. The football was a million miles away.
Adi Randall - looked effortless.
But did John Francis EVER control the ball first time?

Apparently Andre Gray employed John Francis as his first touch coach. Both could control it further than they could pass it

Nice footage. Watched the rest of the video, noticed a certain Steve Morgan had a good game for Coventry

We did improve fast between 90-93. We finished 89-90 as a miserable, bottom half 4th division team. As you say, by '93 we had Heath, Eyres, Randall - and later that season McMinn - playing some decent football a level above, even if the next promotion was one too many.

Kevin 'Rooster' Russell - I thought he was ace.
He didn't stay with us for long though, he wasn't with us for the play offs I don't think??
Any ideas why he left so soon?

Very little hoof all there. Great to see us play it forwards at pace through the midfield to forward players with movement. Adie Randall was class, he picked up the ball, immediately moved forwards and never gave the ball away.

Is it just me or was football much more fun in those days before the huge amounts of money and blanket TV coverage came in?

I’ve applied modern technology to Rooster’s disallowed goal revealing that we were in fact robbed!!
