Re: ARTICLE: My mindset is to try and get to the final
Woodgate said '...The information he (Dyche) gave me was very good and I still take it with me to this day...'
...forget the cups and concentrate on League!
I hope he heeds that advice tonight!

Ever the realist SD, he is correct of course but a cup run this year would be nice.

Woodgate has always struck me as a good fella, going back to his playing days he has always been respectful to us.
I wish him all the best in his management career (except tonight of course).

I wonder if him and Lee Bowyer still go out for a beer or two with his old schoolmatesdurhamclaret wrote: โTue Feb 09, 2021 3:22 pmWoodgate has always struck me as a good fella, going back to his playing days he has always been respectful to us.

Who said anything about "not" forgivingdurhamclaret wrote: โTue Feb 09, 2021 4:08 pmYes, that was terrible at the time, but he was very remorseful and learned his lesson, time to forgive.
I was just wondering if him and Lee Bower still get together for a beer

That statement is disingenuous .... or put another way ... ********.
His mindset is it would be great if just by some freak chance we got to the final whilst all along not really trying our utmost to.
Lets just throw in a mish-mash of underused kids and a team that's not really played together and see what happens. If nothing comes of it ... ah well, it's just the FA Cup and the opportunity of making the last 8 .... nobody's really that bothered.
In which case why do we even bother with it all?

Re: ARTICLE: My mindset is to try and get to the final
There is no mindset to get to any national top level final that includes playing Dunne alongside Long and Benson alongside Stephens. At the same time in the same match.
We know you are a good manager Sean and you've always said you know Burnley folk.
You might have forgotten that. Please don't take us for fools again

My mindset is to win the lottery. But until I buy a ticket, I don't call it a serious ambition.

Rule number 1
Dont believe anything Mr Dyche says in interviews, he HAS to do them.
Its his duty to sit there and give an answer to a tedious question he has probably asked dozens of times, and has absolutely no intentions of answering with the truth.

Re: ARTICLE: My mindset is to try and get to the final
About the most dishonest thing I've ever heard him come out with.
As soon as you put a "but" statement after it , eg ..... "but not at the expense of risking injuries to senior players" or "but not at missing the opportunity to give some fringe players a game to see what they can do", then you've completely contradicted the first part of your statement.
Not saying he's literally said as such but has in effect as much said it by his actions. But I don't suppose he gets that.
