That centre back pairing doesn't fill me with great confidence....

Same pair that only conceded one to free scoring Southampton.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Bournemouth
Very disappointing and looking at their team be amazed if we can progress. We know the reasons for the team but it’s immensely frustrating that this is what football has come to.
Out of interest would many take an fa cup win if it meant relegation? I would all day long.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Bournemouth
Looks like a useful team. Glad to see both Gudders and Vyds in the team again. If they click into gear again we should be OK.
Not sure how much help Jay Rod will be. He's been poor recently, so let's hope he ckicks back into gear as well.
Still going for 3-0. Love to see Vyds get at least one of 'em.

You have given your opinion which you are allowed to! I was just making an observation, we’ve been playing 2 games a week since Christmas! We have got to rest players at some point, or just wait for them to get injured

Only Benson, Dunne and BPF without lots of Premier League experience, which under the circumstances is not bad, so cheer up a bit everyone.

It’ll be nice to see Benson play a full game, and perhaps some more game time for Joel.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Bournemouth
I’m somewhat worried by that starting line up.
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Bournemouth
Maybe SD thinks the likes of Mee and Tarks need a rest and that the team he has chosen is good enough to beat an average Championship side. We do have a strong bench if needed.PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 4:49 pmVery disappointing and looking at their team be amazed if we can progress. Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Bournemouth
What is it about their team that fills you with such trepidation ? Brooks is quality certainly but don't see any other names to fear tbh.PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 4:49 pmVery disappointing and looking at their team be amazed if we can progress. There is no way on earth I would swap our Premier League place for an FA Cup win, especially this season where we're looking at a final played in front of an, at best, half empty Wembley. I want us to win tonight and I want to win the Cup but I totally see the logic in the changes Dyche has made for this game. Tarkowski, mer and Westwood all play with huge commitment and I've been reading injury to them given the intensity of the schedule....not worth risking them in this.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Bournemouth
Nothing wrong with the team on paper.
I'd be concerned about the partnership of Benson and Stephens, purely on the fact that it helps if your midfielders know each others game.
It isn't going to be a walk in the park, but it's certainly a team capable of getting the result.

Thanks ClaretLoup.
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Bournemouth
Very pleased with this side and hope they pose SD some difficult questions or at least get into his head as possibilities for the remainder of the season and put some pressure on our normal starters, just to remind them we have alternatives if needed.

There's one genuine first choice, first team starter (McNeil) in our side.
Please don't suggest we're taking this seriously

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Bournemouth
Most teams make just as many changes for cup games, it’s only because we don’t usually that it stands out for us.
Let’s face it, playing the “first 11” hasn’t really worked for us in the past - in fact BT are just showing Lincoln beating us the other season

Might work out quite well. Blend of youth and experience in the middle. And yes I'm a glass half full personColburn_Claret wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 5:01 pmNothing wrong with the team on paper.
