Fear was obvious. No confidence in us staying up with the added fatigue (and injury risk) for Pope, Mee, Tarks, Lowton, Barnes and Westwood. I have no problem with changes like Fulham, but Tarky/Long and Long/Dunne, or Cork/Stephens and Stephens/Benson - wow, what a difference. Don’t get me started on amateur hour regarding Pieters.

The lack of ambition I find appalling. I feel so sorry for the players, many sat out must have been desparate to play, and we’d have won easily. A joke. But I’m not laughing.

Long 4 - Surridge won’t have an easier game all season
Dunne 5 - surprisingly thought he looked ok in possession. But positional sense was really poor
Glennon - 3 feel sorry for the lad just outclassed by Brooks. Not convinced he is a left back, very lightweight and defensively poor
Benson - 4 tried hard but really lacking quality
Stephens 5 thought he was not as bad as people are saying. Made a few tackles and interceptions. Would be better in a three.
Gudmundsson 3 did he even play?
McNeil 5 not a lot he could do. Had three guys marking him at times. He will be gone in the summer 100%, you can see the frustration he has playing with some of these lads.
Jay - 3 I have lambasted wood previously, that performance was as bad as anything wood has produced.
Vyds - 4 again not a lot he could do. Tried to make things happen but service was just abysmal

All in all a pretty poor game. Shows how truly weak our squad is.
Bournemouth have better players than us simple as that.

Long 4 - Needs someone too class next to him to get away at this level
Dunne 6 - Looks OK, better than Long in possession and can move
Glennon 5 - Was a BIG ask with no experience
Gudmundson 5 - Sometimes you have to go on the outside, cutting in every time contests the centre
Stephens 3 - Given the runaround by an ex-Preston player and just completely hopeless
Benson 4 - Effort was there so us higher than DS, but he needs a loan move to mature
McNeil 5 - Didn't help out Glennon at all, but had our best (few) moments of quality
Rod 3 - Score says it all
Vydra 3 - Score says it all
Westwood 4 - Actually was a step back, tried to force his impact and didn't have the desired effect.

Was practically a free pass for Bournemouth that. Gave it away to them.

Dyche 1 - I’ve given him a 1 as he turned up for work. Utter contempt for the competition, awful team selection and I bet he was secretly happy Jay missed that sitter.

Don’t give me this guff about prioritising the Prem. 8 points clear of the bottom 3 already, won’t be relegated. Lower league opposition at home for the chance of a 1st Quarter Final in 18 years, just win the game and give the fans something to look forward to ffs. Disappointing.

Bit of an overreaction on here. Yes we lost badly against a team in the lower league than us but we put out a worse team than they did. Their team I thought was actually very good. I’m happy to focus on the league as I enjoy that more than the cups anyway. If the new owners invest in the squad properly I’m sure a cup run will come along.

Bardsley 5 not quite up to speed.
Long 5 slow and clunky. Obviously lacking minutes.
Dunne 6 I like him. He’s quicker than most centre backs and can play a bit.
Glennon 6 I thought he did pretty well. Looks a decent player to me. Don’t understand comments like “not good enough” at this point.
JBG 5 nothing came off but he tried. Wasn’t involved much but some flashes.
Benson 6 he drifts in and out but some great long passing.
Stephens 4 very slow and lethargic today. He has looked good before though. Think he’s much better in a midfield 3
McNeil 6 in and out. One great strike our best moment.
Vydra 5 tries hard nothing came off and no service.
Jay rod 4 shocking miss (offside anyway). Just not involved today. Not at his levels of last season for some reason at the moment.

Watching this shite every season in every cup competition is as predictable as it is tedious. The players were sent out to play at 70%. Why bother with the charade that it matters? They pre-match hype, the club bigging-up the cup on social media, the interviews, the chairman's programme notes and it's all b*****s because the manager has already decided that he's had enough of the competition for another season.

I rushed back from the dentist,to watch the second half. I would have enjoyed having 11 teeth pulled, more than watching that 11 Ponse about getting nowhere near ,let alone putting a tackle on any Bournemouth player. If you give a team that much time and space sooner or later they hurt you. I have noticed most of this season we just run around instead of actually staying with players, even to stop a short pass.

e.g. a goalkeeper shouldn't be marked low if his defence is none existant and strikers either, if no one provides them with chances.
