Today's footie 10/2/21
I know nobody cares, but here goes anyway.
City eased through at Swansea as you'd expect.
Leicester-Brighton and Sheff Utd-Bristol City have just kicked off.
Lots of changes in the Leicester and Brighton line-up's, but Sheff Utd have picked pretty much their first choice side tonight, so clearly Chris Wilder takes the cup seriously.
Strong teams for Everton and Spurs also, but of course unlike us they have the strength in depth to field strong teams. Keane starts for Everton BTW.
1-1 Reading-Brentford in the big game in the Championship.

I've been in a meeting and so far I've only caught the first five minutes of the second half at Swansea - not bad though, I did get two goals. Will probably watch the Everton game now.tiger76 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 7:45 pmI know nobody cares, but here goes anyway.

Re: Today's footie 10/2/21
That goes totally against all the experts on here who claim our crossing is abysmal, it's telling that 5 of the 6 on the list aren't plying their trade for big name teams, and even Tierney hasn't been playing in an Arsenal side brimming with confidence.
We shouldn't be surprised to see McNeil & Westwood I suppose, but Lowton is definitely a surprise, and that just highlights how impressive he's been this season.

I know it caught me out too ... but hey ho onwards and upwards ... something from the game on Saturday might help dull the pain of last nighttiger76 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 8:08 pmThat goes totally against all the experts on here who claim our crossing is abysmal, it's telling that 5 of the 6 on the list aren't plying their trade for big name teams, and even Tierney hasn't been playing in an Arsenal side brimming with confidence.

Crazy few minutes at Goodison, 3-1 to Everton now in the blink of an eye.
Blades 1-0 up Billy Sharp penalty, and Alfie Mawson sent off by our friend Robert Jones, he did get this one correct however.

3-2 at Goodison now, this is a proper cup tie. 4 goals in 10 minutes.

I dont want to rain on your parade, but those stats are a load of ********. Undisputable by anyone who's watched us play.tiger76 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 8:08 pmThat goes totally against all the experts on here who claim our crossing is abysmal, it's telling that 5 of the 6 on the list aren't plying their trade for big name teams, and even Tierney hasn't been playing in an Arsenal side brimming with confidence.

Re: Today's footie 10/2/21
It's like a proper FA cup tie at Goodison, two full strength teams going at it hammer and tongs.
Luckily, I'm able to remember those days.

Re: Today's footie 10/2/21
Leicester through with the last kick of the game, Oh! well at least Brighton have made sure of their PL status by bowing out gracefully.
Sheff Utd into the last 8, what on earth is Wilder thinking, didn't he get the memo about the cup being a hindrance.

Fair point
Re: Today's footie 10/2/21
How do they define an "accurate" cross? Lowton's delivery hasn't been good this season, i don't care what the stats claim.
Re: Today's footie 10/2/21
4-3 Toffees

Re: Today's footie 10/2/21
Surely we can't lose on Saturday, after all that's why the 1st teamers were rested last night, to keep them fresh for the Palace game, plus Palace are garbage ATM, and Zaha is likely to be out, so I fully expect all 3 points, and if they're not delivered then SD will have serious questions to answer.

BHA are playing some really good stuff under Potter. Built on the defence but if they sign a goalscorer they’ll have no trouble over the next few years.

4-4 Kane getting in on the act now, this could finish up anything at this rate. One of the all time cup classics.

I was hoping he’d keep pickford out but after letting 3 in @ ManU and 4, so far tonight, I can’t see it. He has made some very good saves though.

Disgusting that. I wish they'd start handing out reds for clear dives like that where no contact at all is madehuw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 10:02 pmDele Alli back with a pathetic dive. Yellow card every time.

4-4 at Goodison, ET should be entertaining.
Re: Today's footie 10/2/21
Because they replace their best players. They must have some very good scouts and are obviously well menaged. Good luck to them. Wonder what the average age is of their team.DomBFC1882 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 8:55 pmWould love them to go up. Exactly and as you say they scout well and it shows. Even without promotion to the Premier league they're still a great watch. I've streamed many of their games and they always impress me
