Bad miss.
Re: Today's football
United very predictable.
Re: Today's football
Bit disappointing United couldn't win, but sums them up, and why City will walk the league. Need Everton to do a better job later though

Re: Today's football
WBA did better than expected maybe but one point per game is no use to them, it'll get them to a grand total of 27 points. They do have 4 matches v teams in the current bottom third of the league coming up (us away, BHA h, Newcastle h and Palace a)- theyll need 2 or 3 wins out of those to keep in the chase.

Re: Today's football
Don't mind West Brom getting a point, at this stage of the season draws aren't much use to them, it's only wins that'll get them out of the mire, and they only have 14 games remaining now, the key game for us is now Everton-Fulham, I struggle to see either the Baggies or the Blades catching us from here, but Fulham still have a chance, albeit an increasingly slim one.
I bet Pep can't believe his luck, all of City's potential rivals continue to spill vital points, and yes this is why City will waltz the title.

Don't particularly like to see Arsenal winning, but as they're playing Leeds, I can live with it.

Disgraceful overturn of pen decision.
Ball and Saka both going in direction of goal line, Cooper going in direction of touchline and cleans Saka out. No contact with ball. A pen every time.

Re: Today's football
Not sure what I’m missing with Leeds. I’ve actually no issue with the club, wasn’t around in the 70s.
But what is the media fascination with how they play, like Bielsa has reinvented football? The few times I’ve seen them they just look like any other mid table side. Perhaps make a few more passes, bit naive at the back but nothing that marks them out.

Re: Today's football
I had a pint a point difference bet with a mate that Burrnley would finish higher than Leeds at the start of the season at the end of the season.
What I mean is, that at the end of the season Burnley would be higher up the table than Leeds at the start of the season.
So, at the start of the season I had a bet that Burnley would be higher up the table than Leeds at the end of the season. Yes, that's it.
A pint per point difference. I reckon I'll win. Maybe not enough to get completely ratted, but I reckon I'll win.

Re: Today's football
Aye their keeper is well sub-par. Some organisation keeps a tally of goalkeepers' expected goals conceded v actual conceded (taking into account qulity of the shots to be saved etc). Must try and find that after this round of games but Meslier must be near the bottom (and Pope must be very adjacent to the top). Alisson must be dropping a few places recently too.

The presenter earlier today on my broadcast( I dont live in the UK but it was a UK presenter) said it "is always a great game when Leeds play at Arsenal" well isn't it about 16 years since Leeds played a league game at Arsenal! Didn't Josef Goebals....the Nazi Minister of Propeganda say if you tell a lie often enough people will start to believe it...I rest my case
PS why wasn't Saka booked for diving?

Re: Today's football
Blimey! what happened to the Leeds bandwagon they really need to get their defence in order, otherwise they'll find next season a struggle.

Leeds never stop - they play to score goals for the entire 90 mins, so the game is never out of reach for them.

Arsenal have brought Elneny on to ensure Leeds don't score from anymore corners.
Re: Today's football
The way Leeds play means they'll get some hammerings, but if they finish midtable you have to say its worked for them.

Everton not doing us any favours. Rest Keane and Mina for tonights home game with Fulham.
DCL out after his midweek injury. Should still have enough to win.

Re: Today's football
Finished 4-2 at the Emirates, Leeds might score a lot, but they also have the joint 2nd worst defence along with Palace, they'll be fine this season, but you do wonder if they'll do a Sheff Utd next season once teams get used to combatting their unique style.

Teams will work them out and be ready next year.
It's avoidable if they learn how to defend, but so far it looks like the marvellous Bielsa only has plan A.

Re: Today's football
Everton worry me they generally struggle against the lower teams, let's hope that changes tonight, anything which keeps Fulham at bay is too be welcomed.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 6:20 pmEverton not doing us any favours. Rest Keane and Mina for tonights home game with Fulham.

Mitrovic misses tonight's game after a positive covid test, so there must be a doubt about whether he'll play on Wednesday.
Re: Today's football
Fancy Fulham today. No Keane or DCL for Everton is huge for them and they have nothing to lose
Re: Today's football
Be interesting to see what Maja does. He's not pulled up too many trees in France and his loan surprised me although apparently part of the deal taking Seri to Bordeaux. Reportedly a €10m option to buy for Maja!
