Mumbongo will be the only attacking option on the bench

Just wondering if changing formation would be an option, Jay is woefully out of form.

The signings most people wanted were wide right and RB. We are covered for both them positions. It’s two injured strikers hurting us although Mumbongo might go on to be a player.

It could be worse, Palace have only named 7 subs.

Shame about Vydra he's been one of our bright sparks recently, and he offers us something different when he plays.

Cork returning, and Brady & Brownhill on the bench is some positives, but we're really down to the bare bones, luckily for us Palace aren't in much better shape, so we should still be able to dig out a result of some description, even if it's only a point.

Afternoon all from a overcast and dank looking Galway . Now it's around 8c no rain so quite good .
Spend a time this morning between Cricket and planting out indoor Chillies so which ever way you look at it summer is coming , the future is bright the future is Claret and we will get 3 points today .

I think it’s the irony of the injury happening in training . You may not have read the threads after the mid week cup defeat

Hope Barnes puts himself about today.

He used to be a thorn in the side but these days doesn't seem to do more than go through the motions. Get them elbows out ash instead of throwing yourself on the floor!!!

Dammit I wish Vidz had played the other night, going full throttle into training with tight muscles after a break is fatal :(

We don't have to win this. What we have to make sure is we don't lose to Fullham or West Brom. There's more games in the season. No need to panic yet if we don't win. Its still away from home against a very good side.

Why couldn’t we go

McNeil cork brownhill Westwood JBG

For example. So rigid sticking with 442, especially Given jay is so out of form.

The team as expected, bar the front two.
Barnes did well against Brighton, and he's a better foil for JayRod or Vyds, than they are for each other.
Worried about Jay though, I've never seen him play as bad, for anybody, as he did on Tuesday. Fingers crossed it was a blip, and he can come up with a winner.

Couldn't believe it when I saw the team with Vyds not starting. I didn't realise he was injured. That's a big blow after the way he and Barny played against Brighton. I just hope that Palace are having a harder time of things than us.

Roy Hodgson always gives us a game and I can't honestly see us scoring against them. Hope I'm wrong of course but I fancy Palace to nick this one. What we don't need are any more forward injuries.

Brownhill being fit is a big plus, and if we are defending a lead a great player to bring on. Plus Brady could come on for JBG. For me the stage is set for Jay today to really kick off his season today

He didn't say we HAVE TO win it. He said we SHOUD be winning it due to their injuries and with no Zaha most of us would agree looking at their stats.
And losing against Fulham or WBA wouldn't change much really would it. You said it yourself, there are many games still to play.

Greetings from a bitterly cold SW Ontario, currently feeling like minus 20 with the wind chill factored in

One would expect a positive reaction from the lads today following the Bournemouth debacle. Anything less than a draw will be unacceptable. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out our next three games will go a long way to decide our PL future.

Clarets to win a 2-1 squeaker :D
