Re: Wow
They're saying on the BBC it's his 1st Pl goal for 8 years, this can't be right surely, he scored at Chelsea in our famous 3-2 victory back in 2017, and that was a cracker as well.

He scored for us away at MK didn't he in the Championship? But I think his first PL goal since his worldie volley for Villa away at Stoke.

I loved how he put their number 3 on his @rse. One player showed strength and desire, the other couldn't be bothered.

Re: Wow
Fans who understand the club's and Dyche's circumstances could appreciate why the team selection v. Bournemouth was made and although disappointed, moved on.
Those experts who believed that our squad is strong enough to withstand the risk of an injury to a key player whinged and whined, convinced we'd be nailed on for a trip to the Final, some even talked of "despising" Dyche and wanting him out.................they really should trust Dyche and his team.

Re: Wow
Playing with such confidence. Hold my hand up time. When he came back at the start of the season he was overweight and looked terribly slow. What a turn around, he’s playing at the top of his game now. Well done Matty ‘Van Basten’ Lowton

Re: Wow
Posts like this clearly miss the point. I was annoyed (and still am) at the performance, nothing to do with team selection. I totally understand why Dyche did what he did, it’s the attitude from the top towards the cup competitions that filter down to the players (whoever is selected for the cup games) and the performance is clearly affected.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:14 pmFans who understand the club's and Dyche's circumstances could appreciate why the team selection v. How would you have felt had we not won today? Going out of the cup did not guarantee 3 points today. We played really well, but a poor Palace performance also helped.

Re: Wow
I think tbf, it wasn't the team selection or even the performance per se on Tuesday that was the issue, but that when called upon, the second choices in so many positions really were found wanting and that was the main worry. Kevin Long being the chief culprit tbh, but followed by a string of others.Zlatan wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:56 pmPosts like this clearly miss the point. Re: Wow
You’ll no doubt find it impossible to understand, but some of us would happily trade today’s win for a win in on Tuesday. We could have won both, but I think we’ll be OK in the League regardless.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 5:14 pmFans who understand the club's and Dyche's circumstances could appreciate why the team selection v. I’ve said many times on here, when our time in the Premier League does finally come to an end, it would be nice to have something to show for it. Bournemouth got Southampton in the quarters - that’s a very winnable match for us. after that, anything could’ve happened. I just can’t understand why any Burnley fan wouldn’t want us to see us in the Cup final.

Re: Wow
Plenty in here have said “I don’t give a **** about the Cup” or words to that effect. The attitude of many more to us repeatedly fielding sub-standard teams and putting in sub-standard performances suggests, at best, apathy towards the possibility.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 9:53 amWhere has any Burnley fan anywhere, ever said they don't want to see us in the cup final?

Re: Wow
You have to win cup matches in order to get to the Cup Final and as quite a few posters are not bothered about fielding teams that could win us these matches I can’t see how they are bothered about us getting to a FinalTheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 9:53 amWhere has any Burnley fan anywhere, ever said they don't want to see us in the cup final?

Re: Wow
Ok, you want to interpret people saying they are happy to prioritise the league when we are 4th bottom and with three season-defining games coming up as not wanting to see us in a cup final.scouseclaret wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 10:38 amPlenty in here have said “I don’t give a **** about the Cup” or words to that effect. If that's your reading of it, then I'll leave you to think that.
