Re: Klopp
I asked my Scouse mate in all seriousness earlier how long will he get.
He didn’t say, but neither did he back him to the hilt.
He’s in trouble, but maybe the injury list will buy him some time...

Lost his mum to covid, not been able to attend the funeral due to travel restrictions. His head will be all over the place right now.

Re: Klopp
Yet still he's fair game on here.................funny how the Villa fans having a crack at Ben Mee's knockout are "disgusting", "gobby" etc etc etc............
Re: Klopp
To be fair here, I dont think anyone is having a go at Klopp because of the unfortunate circumstances regarding the death/funeral of his mother.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 9:37 amYet still he's fair game on here.................funny how the Villa fans having a crack at Ben Mee's knockout are "disgusting", "gobby" etc etc etc............
Whereas some Villa fans were having a go at Ben Mee because of his unfortunate collision on the pitch yesterday.
At times Klopp says some silly, sometimes immature things about Liverpool's opponents, setting himself up for criticism. That is why he gets the amount of flack that he does.

Re: Klopp
I like Mr Klopp although he is most definitely going down in my estimations. He still remains great for the premier league.

Re: Klopp
To be fair he managed Mainz for over 7 years, Dortmund for 7 years and he's been at Liverpool for over 5 years so he's hardly got a track record of jumping ship

Re: Klopp
It's just taken a little time to sink in that they were defeated by the Clarets and they have noticed that there have been a number of managers kicked into touch after that happened. The ultimate disgrace is to be beaten by the Clarets ---great ---isn't it?
Personally, I can't see him walking but you never know.

Re: Klopp
His mother’s just passed and he can’t get home. He’s pretty far from being a coward or a quitter. He’s a top manager and a top man. He’s won everything that’s worthwhile winning over here. He’s achieved far more in a few years than 99.9% of current English managers ever will.

Re: Klopp
Klopp is a great manager and he has a sense of humour. Hope he turns it round. I prefer the scousers to United or any of the London clubs. Only one of the big six I used to like more were City but now I’m getting sick of them buying trophies and escaping punishments (and battering us every game, but then they were doing that in the old third division when they were shite).
Incidentally as proud as I was (and still am) of us beating them what has happened recently has kind of put our win into perspective. I didn’t realise when we beat them just how shite they were playing.

Re: Klopp
With regards to City, I suspect if Guardiola fails to with the CL this season then he'll be off as well.houseboy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 12:16 amKlopp is a great manager and he has a sense of humour. Re: Klopp
I'm going to stick up for Jürgen here. As a Bochum fan of over 30 years I've followed the German league for some time, attending numerous fixtures in that time.
Klopp has, imo, in that time has come across as a class act.
Now with personal problems that have surfaced it's understandable why his eye has been taken off the ball and he's not such the affable frontman anymore
Football and sport in general isn't the be all and end all and rightly so.
You don't become a bad manager overnight and I feel Jürgen should be cut a very decent amount of slack

Re: Klopp
Gerrard will be the next manager there. If Klopp leaves I suspect his assistant will take charge or a temporary manager appointment until the end of the season (Benitez?) paving the way for Gerrard once he wins the title at Rangers.
