I'll second that!
Take a draw now though if it was offered.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
Long for Mee, Fulham unchanged.
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
It’s true Charlie is back, good news
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
Remember the home match after Keegan had been appointed Fulham manager (they walked the league that season)
The game was tight and looked to be heading for a draw
Stan did his usual and gave Jeppo the last 10 mins or so for his appearance bonus
He came on with the beer gut hanging out and proceeded to score the winner

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
EDIT: I was wrong. 30th Sept 1967 and 2-0. 1 day out in the date, I opposition goal out in the score. Casper and Coates. And, I even mis-spelt Allan Clarke.Paul Waine wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 4:54 pmThe first game I went on t'Turf, on my own, was against Fulham. October 1967, we won 2-1 (or something like that). A very young, Alan "sniffer" Clark missed a penalty for Fulham.
Looking forward to the game tonight.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
Looking a bit light on the bench, back to two goalies again. Only three regular first teamers.
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
Apart from Long replacing Mee it's a fairly strong side

Brilliant news that Taylor is starting. Feel a whole lot more confident now!
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
What is the point of putting two gk's on the bench
Do they both get a bonus
Just hope this is not a game too soon for Taylor

Strong first 1V, bit of a weak ( inexperienced ) bench.

That's a great looking team. No offence to Pieters but it's great to see Taylor back.
I think we have too much there for the 'Cottagers'.

Hi, all. Just seen Parker on tv dropping hints there is not a lot for them tonight. He’s playing games. We need to be full on tonight a win isn’t a stepping stone it’s a bridge over a dry riverbed.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
Greetings from SW Ontario. The 25 cm of snow we got through last night Monday night has been cleared up and neatly put away Currently it's feeling like minus 13 with windchill, barely a cloud in the sky, lovely day for a brisk walk.
I have a good feeling about today's game, depending on which Burnley team shows up, if the team that hammered Palace appears today, no contest, Burnley 2-0. No doubt Mee will be sorely missed, but Taylors return is a boost

Didnt we kick them off the park that day, finished with 9 men or something after using all their subs?..............................jojomk1 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 5:04 pmRemember the home match after Keegan had been appointed Fulham manager (they walked the league that season)

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
Why 2 keepers on the bench?
He could easily have sat Mancini,Woods or Thompson on there.

Keegan had just been appointed England manager ahead of that game, was about to leave Fulhamjojomk1 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 5:04 pmRemember the home match after Keegan had been appointed Fulham manager (they walked the league that season)

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
Yeah it’s a bit strange. I wonder why he doesn’t put the young french lad on the bench just for the experience. A bit like when SGE took Walcott to the WC.

Has he ever had a good game as captain? I’d have given it to Jack Cork.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
I notice Fulham have at least 3 loan players in their team today. Don’t see how that can be right. Should be a limit on number of loans players in the match day squad

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
Limited to two loans at any time from other English clubs - and no more than one from any club. International loans are considered differently.
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
Think we'll win tonight. Their goalies a bit of a tit.

We had someone on loan once. The weather is okay tonight as well.
Does anyone have anything else to say?

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Fulham
So Fulham are maxed out. So over 27% of their starting line are loan players. Not right in my opinion
