Villa looking very ordinary without Grealish, despite all the money they have spent.

Commentators were just drooling over Villa keeper Martinez, then he lays a goal on for Barnes.

Grealish a bit like Zaha for Palace, both teams pretty ordinary without em.

How much did Villa pay for Troare? Whatever it was, it was too much.

Bizarrely, having read this thread I've had a vision of Zaha, Grealish and Maddison on the same pitch....it was like Bambi on ice.

Sums up how poor the league has been overall this year, and why City will waltz to the title with ease.

And some reckon teams have been buying some good players this season. There is plenty of dross even at the top end of the table.

Joelineton hobbled off as well. So they have no strikers left, not that he was much of one.

They at least have Carroll and Gayle on their bench, which is plenty more than we had to call on yesterday.

Just hope United can see this game out now, at least we'll have edged further ahead of Newcastle this weekend then.

8 defeats in 10 games now for Newcastle, and some people think we're in a rut, compared to them our form is on another level, and they are deep in trouble now, in fact they could find themselves in the bottom 3 by next weekend if Fulham win their game at Palace, and they slip up at home to Wolves.

Ross County 1 Celtic 0 FT from Dingwall, Rangers a mere 7 points from the title now, and Brady wants to join that bunch, and play in a pub league, on you go Robbie best wishes son.

Theres a few twists and turns yet. I know Newcastle are on a bad run, but for me a totally all round better team than Palace

The key for Palace is getting Zaha on the park, if they can do that then they'll probably be fine, but if they can't then they'll face a nervy end to the season.

We should be fine but if push comes to shove that Fulham-Newcastle showdown on the final day should be a huge help to us, much like the Boro-Brighton final day shootout assisted us in 2016, even though ultimately we didn't need any assistance, purely the fact that we knew we'd be promoted whatever certainly eased the pressure on the Charlton game.

Just looking at our remaining fixtures, and the key games for me are Southampton, Newcastle, Wolves, Fulham, Leeds & Sheff Utd, we may will pick up results in our other games, but those 6 are our best chance of netting a few wins and a draw or two, which should be more than enough to survive.

A sterile 0-0 at the Bridge, and West Ham remain 4th despite their defeat yesterday, their fans might be starting to dream of CL footy next season.

Blades-Liverpool up next, you'd expect Liverpool to get back on the horse here, but this isn't the Liverpool of last season so who knows.

Surely only a matter of time before the Blades relegation is confirmed now.

Firmino's strike was Liverpool's 7,000th goal in the top flight, but they still trail their neighbours Everton who have 7,108.
