Westwood has been absolutely awful and why are him and Cork playing as sweepers against 10 men. Absolutely appalling half of “football”

Lack of service doesn’t help. Which is even more of a problem with a centre midfielder on the wing.

I like both and have been clamouring for them to start together but Jay had a free header which he should’ve done better with and Vydra has been far too lightweight. He might’ve drawn the red card but it was a terrible decision from their centre half.

I’m quietly optimistic that they’ll both be better (as will the whole team) in the next 45.
That header should have connected from Jay. That was poor. However, our poor passing and lumped balls aren’t what these two are going to work with.

Neither have really. That’s the issue with the lack of creativity.

We shud be beating these 2 or 3 now theyv 10 men make a statement
Bet it finishes nil nil
The way we're playing, a lot of us would take this.
Burnley v WBA's 10 men has 0-1 written all over it. (Conceding from a set-piece).
Not long since we lost against Leicester's 10 in similar fashion.

Vydra is great to watch at times and a clever player but he’s not got the killer instinct needed at this level. He has grown on me in recent months but I have no faith when he goes through on goal. I was delighted the lad stopped it with his hand and got a red rather than the opportunity being there as I don’t think he’d have scored.

Well that's wasn't very good was it, the only positives are it's 0-0, and they've gone down to 10, but we seriously need to turn the screw 2nd half, this mob really aren't very good, and this game should be there for the taking if we want it enough.

Lowton put a top class ball in for jays header which he should’ve buried.

Taylor’s got forward but failed to deliver crosses when needed.

They've been average at best really. Jay's passed up a great early opportunity. Vydra looks lively but as usual there's no real threat afterwards. Amazed the defender went for that with his hand. Vuds still has a lot to do

Second half should be better

Thankfully the police helicopter we currently have hovering outside has kept me entertained during that first half

Still think with an upgraded forward we'd see the best of Vydra.

Westwood is having a rare bad game, it happens. At least he is actually trying to show for the ball and create somthing by playing the ball in behind, no one else is.

Lowton key man again. He's finding so much space out on the right and we must get on the end of his crosses!

We are a one half team and that wasn’t it.

I do have to ask why do we carry it to the wing, when the player on the wing is open and we could just ping it to them. Instead we give the opposition the opportunity to apply pressure... hence the ball then needs to be passed back. Also Taylor being on his own on the left can't overlap and no option when there is acres of space. Night and day from the Palace game.

Any chance of Vydra realising that the ball won’t land at his feet? Maybe anticipate that the ball may be 1m away from him and attempt to move for it.
