Why? We've thrown in some shockers with them playing too.

You can forget troubling the top half like Westwood suggested, back to looking over our shoulder, shocking performance. Clueless.

I think that commentator has covered 3 Burnley games recently. He must be very unpopular at Sky.

Worst I’ve seen us play in a long while.
BUT that was handball and don’t think Vydra was offside either so should have ad two penalties IMO

Give over moaning we deserved nothing out of this game.

Comments from Andy Townsend and Owen Hargreaves in Studio
...woeful and pathetic performance from Burnley
...never seen Burnley play as bad
...how not to play against 10 men
Think they were being kind to us

Absolutely and no excuse for the performance , we got into the wrong mindset when they went down to 10 men in the first half and couldn’t shake ourselves out of it

I've only been watching Burnley for 69 years, so I suppose that there is still time to see a worse performance than todays. It will take some beating though.Somethingfishy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 4:55 pmHe'll blame the injuries and the wind. He never calls out a rank bad performance. That was almost as bad as it gets.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus wba
I’ll not blame dyche , his method and discipline has got us to where we are, however we are unable to adapt out of that and change it up. It is possible that its because were short of players, ten men isn’t always a cake walk but WBA had at least 5 goal opportunities that should have seen them home and hosed,
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus wba
It all changed after the sending off. We really struggle against teams who defend deep and give us more possession.

Re: Vydra and Rodriguez
Given Vidra's record and performances at Derby & Watford I could understand us going for him. But no idea why we brought JR back. He's ok , but it was a move that was never going to get anyone excited.

Re: No penalty?
Given at start of season but thankfully more common sense used now , no penalty in my opinion and would have been gutted if one like that went against us
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus wba
In reality, the wind was horrendous and we relied on balls off the ground, which all failed.
Players did not commit to making that 'wasted run, on the off-chance your mate actually did get a cross in. Two or three opportunities missed as a consequence.
Everyone off form. Could not get going. No subs available.
Manager not to blame. All calm down.
He is the difference between us in the prem or a slow fade away in the Championship and beyond.
A point is a point in the prem. No way WBA are going to overtake us. Nor Sheff U. Hopefully Fulham's little run will end with a bump. Newcastle all over the place. Cpalace rubbish.
Plenty to be pleased about.

West Brom: Organised, enthusiastic, trying to win it, even after the sending off, fit, full of running, first to every second ball and could so easily have nicked the 3 points.
Burnley: POSSIBLY THE worst I've ever seen under Dyche and that includes the numerous cup exit debacles. Couldn't pass it 5 yards and in that case don't blame the bloody wind!!!

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus wba
Dreadful performance yes. and yet we still gained a point mainly down to Pope & Tarks, and we will stay up this season, however the warning signs are alarming, and if we don't get some creativity in over the summer I really fear for us next season, we just can't break teams down even if they go down to 10, and that's got to change as we can't keep relying on our back 5 to produce the goods game after game.
Touch wood we get a few bodies back for the Spurs game, because we look shot physically, as we did on Tuesday.
Despite all the hyperbole that will be spouted on here it's worth pointing out we're now 4 games unbeaten, and we've still to lose to another relegation rival, this is one of the main reasons we'll survive this term, but things do have to change, because the bottom 3 won't be so dire every season, and sooner or later our lack of investment will catch up with us, so let's hope messrs Dyche & Pace heed the warnings.

Re: Vydra and Rodriguez
Both unbelievably bad today. Not alone in that at all but the ball just bounced off the pair of them. Missed Barnes badly.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus wba
Correct in one sense, but statistically if we were to draw our remaining 6 home games (and lose all our away games, [which is unlikely]), we'll have 34 points and would have a good chance of staying up.
I won't be happy till we have 38 or more, but WBA and Sheff U are miles off getting 34, and Fulham have some very tough fixtures in their last 10.

The equivalent of a Short Wave and Medium Wave combination on the radio!
Lots of interference and whistlrs but nothing coherent between them.
Another day will be different.

Re: No penalty?
The injury crisis did not help nor did the wind, but this was not good. Lack of concentration and application, sloppy passing and lack of initiative. We never got out of starting blocks and were very lucky to escape with a point... that we managed that was the one highlight. Really really poor performance. This sort of performance has become all too common this season. We are used to the ‘throw one in’ over the years, but next season we really need to look at our lack of consistency.
