Today was admittedly poor. But there we go.

Big window in summer.
How’s many times have we said that though? It’s hard to argue with people who say he’s fluffed signings when he’s had the money. We signed a quality centre half in Gibson but didn’t play him. Vydra has only just got a chance.

I’m not saying he should be sacked but he has to hold his hands up and say his current tactics aren’t working. Tactics like we played against Palace do work but we see them few and far between games.

Dyche isn’t the problem, the stale squad with no investment for 3 and a half years is. The blokes had no support and the fact we signed nobody in January with the squad in the state it is disgusts me.
Hahaha - and why do you think Dyche takes none of the blame for that? He has such limited criteria for players that the options are limited. He has been allowed to buy players such as Gibson for no benefit to the squad and has shown a distinct reluctance to use loanees for any reason. I think him, the previous board and the recruitment team have to equally share the blame for the past several transfer windows.

The final pass or telling ball just wasn’t there , the players are to blame for nearly losing against 10 men

Where are all the happy clappers now?

So much for resting players to get wins against the teams around us at home.

Disgusting we sacrificed such an opportunity and Dyche got that massively wrong. Where's pushpinpussy and his told you so???
I think we might have lost a couple if we had played a full first squad in the cup.

5 points from the last 9 available.

Injury hit squad and they're probably also quite tired as a result of the number of games we've been playing.

These next 8 days without a game are going to be really important for us.

Sorry but that was absolutely abject from a bunch of Pros picking up very good wages. This feels like more a productive use of time than the 90 mins I was subjected to.

The players!
Surely they cant be blamed for poor accuracy when being instructed to hit it 50+ yards in the air awful conditions ?

And before we get told they wssnt the instructions, we persisted with it for 93 minutes against the worst team in the league, who had 10 men for over an hour ..

We don't always play like that so you don't need to worry too much. We've had many great moments in recent years.

How many loans and free transfers did Allardyce bring in when he got appointed by WBA?

Never seen us play as bad but having said that the conditions and injuries didn't help. I also think the players need a rest, they're almost at burn out. The blame has to be sorely on the players today, It's easy to blame Dyche but let's be honest, it's deeper than that, the word I'm looking for is "Recruitment" (or lack of it).

So the answer is to bring on a left back who got slated on here recently when he played against Bournemouth. With so many players out injured we simply had no options - Benson & Mumbongo were the only two subs who weren't goalkeepers or defenders.

It’s not who to use it’s more how they are used. Why take off a striker for a striker against 10 men?

Bardsley for Brownhill and push Lowton forward. Westwood and Cork were having shockers, being on Benson.

Ill not blame dyche for that performance, he has a shape and way of playing that has kept us in the prem, longer than anyone could reasonably expect with the level of investment that he has received. That investment has transformed the ground and facilities to help us continue at what ever league we play in, and we will go down, most likely next year without 4-5 players. Even so don’t see us spending anywhere need 50m in the summer

This season is unusual in many aspects, and for all the bluster the most important thing is retaining our PL status whatever it takes.

And for all his failings SD is on course to do that for a 5th successive season, so he must be doing something right, yep today was dire but all teams have bad days, and even playing poorly we still nicked an important point. which edges us towards safety for another year.

We do need some decent recruitment in the summer whoever the manager is, but I'd be careful not to throw the baby out with bathwater, and SD definitely deserves another season at least to try and improve our style, he's shown he can do it when we finished 7th, so give him the tools and I'm sure he'll deliver the goods once more.

15 games in 6 weeks with a threadbare squad ... playing a team fighting for its PL survival in sh*te windy conditions...

I am not trying to make excuses ... it was a terrible game against a terrible team played in terrible conditions ... at least it wasn't totally a terrible result.

Get a grip, go have a beer, calm down ... and enjoy the fact we now have 8 days off to get a few bodies back on the team.

Let's apportion blame, it's been so bad for the last few windows it's no surprise we are now playing League One football. Oh, hang on, we're not.

Any reason why you didn't post this last Saturday after the win at Crystal Palace? It's the same manager, it's the same previous board and it's the same recruitment team. No, we've played badly so let's have a go and see who we can blame this week.

That performance has it's roots in the failure to bring in a right winger in the last 2 windows. Brownhill is not the answer against teams that are happy to sit back.

So why set the team up with two wingers? I a normally supportive of Dyche, but you should pick the system to fit the players you've got not the other round.

Also going down to ten men, take a defender off and at least control midfield. Sean still has no different plan for this situation after eight years in the job

Maybe shut the board down then CT fora few hours if you aren’t happy with opinions after a game.

I did say it was originally a silly post but then as righting it I thought maybe not that silly. Why can’t Dyche be cashed out when he and his team haven’t performed?

Crikey, you must be really old fashioned if you don't believe we could play expansive football against a 10 man West Brom side, sitting 19th in the PL. You've beat me there.

It's funny you should mention the trenches, as I'm hearing we're all being called up to serve next week.

Maybe shut the board down then CT fora few hours if you aren’t happy with opinions after a game.

I did say it was originally a silly post but then as righting it I thought maybe not that silly. Why can’t Dyche be cashed out when he and his team haven’t performed?
There are opinions and there is nonsense. Seems as some can't wait for a poor performance so they can come on here criticising.

Mumbongo shouldn't be anywhere near a professional football club.He makes Dave Jones and Les Lawrence look world class
I don't think he's anywhere near ready but what a damn stupid comment to compare him with experienced players from the 1980s who were nowhere near good enough.

I know a lot of you hate Dyhce's tactics, but today was solely about the players. Everytime we went forward the passing was unbelievably bad and some of our first touches were criminal! The contrast to the Palace game was incredible.

I very much doubt Dyche will be happy with that.

So why set the team up with two wingers? I a normally supportive of Dyche, but you should pick the system to fit the players you've got not the other round.

Also going down to ten men, take a defender off and at least control midfield. Sean still has no different plan for this situation after eight years in the job
Honestly, taking a defender off for that 2nd half would've been stupid, considering the other lads couldn't string a pass together.

Who would you take off out of interest?

I for one certainly dont blame Sean Dyche.

He's had zero backing from the board.

You spend cheap. You get cheap

End of.
The buck stops with the manager
