Dyche!
I thought I’d be the first to get a silly post in but actually this possibly isn’t that silly. He has to be held responsible for these utter pathetic performances.
Yet another game with no shots on target. Pathetic football. 1 change on the 85th minute. Yet again poor use of his bench.
How much longer can this continue?
Some will point to lack of choices but these are excuses. This game, Brighton, Bournemouth and Fulham were woeful and should have all been wins.

So you'll be happy when we drop down the leagues?

Woeful. But Dyche has my support.

Re: Dyche!
I'll defend him and say his bench was 2 keepers and 5 defenders due to several unfortunate injuries. But it stops there, because the players on the field were utterly dreadful!

Re: Dyche!
At least in the Brighton and Fulham games we created something. Today we desperately clung on at home against 10 men of one of the worst teams the EPL has seen in a long time. Nowhere near good enough regardless of being short on bench options.

You should be. Without him this lot would be in the same position but in a division below where we are now.

We can talk about tactics all day, but poor performances are the main problem today. We’ve ballsed up every time it’s been promising.

Doesn’t matter who the manager was today.
It was brain dead football by Westwood and his pals.

Dyche isn’t the problem, the stale squad with no investment for 3 and a half years is. The blokes had no support and the fact we signed nobody in January with the squad in the state it is disgusts me.

Let’s face it, we’re a horrible excuse for a football team under his leadership. We’ve got qualities in other areas, but games like today highlight just how poor our standards are when in possession of the football.
I hate watching the shite he serves up on occasions like today, and there are not exactly in the minority. What are we doing to do about it? Not a clue anymore. Recruitment doesn’t bring us much joy these days.

Re: Dyche!
He had nothing much on the bench
Not Dyche's fault that Westwood, McNeil, Taylor, Lowton, Vydra, Jay, Brownhill etc couldn't make simple 10 yard passes.
You will see better quality at Sunday league level on a windy day and bumpy pitch than we just watched in the PL

Re: Dyche!
Tbh.. wouldn't bother me..
I enjoy the day out from getting a 7am train to some town I've never been, hitting the pubs at 1st doors and getting to the ground, going to the back to stand with the fans that want an atmosphere.
Is my enjoyment going to change because of what league we are in? Probably not.. I've found the premier League the least exciting.
As for the money side of things, we signed Dale Stephens this summer.. and that's being in the premier League!

Re: Dyche!
I admire SD for all that he has done for our little club over the past years, but I wouldn’t be gutted if he left, the football is getting worse game by game, is the same mind numbing tactics and doesn’t change it when even Stevie Wonder can see it’s not working.

As manager Dyche should take full responsibility for our results. Thankfuly we are two or three wins from safety yet again so should take full responsibility and credit for that.
Today was admittedly poor. But there we go.
Big window in summer.

Dyche has to take responsibility but so do the players. Dreadful tactics and individual performances. But they deserve my loyalty after years of over achieving.

I agree with you that he’s had little investment but as the manager he’s responsible for what we’ve just witnessed. Zero shots on target AGAIN. That’s the work he and his team do of the field.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 5:00 pmDyche isn’t the problem, the stale squad with no investment for 3 and a half years is. Re: Dyche!
What a difference a week makes. It was bad but think I'll reserve judgement on a man who has worked miracles with what he has. Needs investment and any manager would have struggled with what he had today. Furthermore it's not his fault if his team decide they can't pass 10 yards. They could last Saturday so unfortunately it's just one of them things. I'm confident Dyche will work on it and get it right but he definitely needs some money in summer.

He will be chuffed tonight. He played for a point and got it, albeit a lucky one.
I'd have put Long on instead of Joel and stuck him up top.

Re: Dyche!
Ben Mee pointed out in an article in The Guardian at the end of last season that our squad was woefully short of players and that it was far from encouraging to see so many youngsters filling our bench. But, here we are again!!
Instead of the club investing to try and rectify the position transfer windows closed with Dyche declaring that he was "happy with his squad".
Today, we were lucky to get a 0-0 and deserved nothing really.

Re: Dyche!
Couldn't blame Dyche for some of the awful passing out there today. He'll be as frustrated and baffled as the next man. It's amazing we've lasted this long really with the size and quality of the squad we've got. My only criticism of Dyche is that he thinks that the squad is sufficient when everyone is fit , bar as he says an odd purchase here or there ! He's got to be kidding surely. Problem with him at the helm is that I don't think that he'll bring in the right players if he is trusted in spending any major investment from the owners. That's why I fear it may be better to replace him now. But then, what do I know. I'm just the guy in the corner of the (virtual) pub , mumbling into his pint.

Team for Bournemouth
Where are all the happy clappers now?
So much for resting players to get wins against the teams around us at home.
Disgusting we sacrificed such an opportunity and Dyche got that massively wrong. Where's pushpinpussy and his told you so???

I’m old fashioned and like to see us play well.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 5:06 pmAnd results are what matter. Even more so with no fans in attendance.
I can just check the score at the end of the game if it’s just results that count and nothing else whatsoever.

Some people really need to sit down for a couple of hours and think before going on a Footy forum
15 games in 6 weeks with a threadbare squad ... playing a team fighting for its PL survival in sh*te windy conditions...
I am not trying to make excuses ... it was a terrible game against a terrible team played in terrible conditions ... at least it wasn't totally a terrible result.
Get a grip, go have a beer, calm down ... and enjoy the fact we now have 8 days off to get a few bodies back on the team.

Re: Dyche!
this isn't anything to do with dyche. he is far and away the best manager we've had. he is respected throughout the game for his achievements here.
its unthinkable that we would lose him. hard to believe burnley fans regard him in a negative way.
we are playing football in the top league because of him.

Re: Dyche!
That performance has it's roots in the failure to bring in a right winger in the last 2 windows. Brownhill is not the answer against teams that are happy to sit back.
