Re: Time for a shakeup in training?
Aye..... but they didn't shake the whole team up did they? Who'd have thought a lad who played as a centre half in his academy days, moved to holding mid, and back to centre half is sensible, but throwing the whole team into different positions isn't.DomBFC1882 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 3:51 pmEric dier got "shaken up" from centre mid to centre half. Ignore some of the people on here Mala they always seem to know best. Anyway it's just an idea to be talked about on a football messageboard, nothing more nothing less.

Re: Time for a shakeup in training?
If you read my post dandeclaret, not once did I mention or agree with shaking the whole team up. I just pointed out that a change may work such as Taylor left wing with Pieters behind him and mcneil and lowts on the rightdandeclaret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 5:28 pmAye..... but they didn't shake the whole team up did they? I never said I agreed but I think its pathetic how people jumped on the OP when he's literally talking football on shockingly a football messageboard yet gets shot down off the entitled ones

I'm just surprised they didn't include the wheel of punishment for those who consistently put in bad performancesTheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 5:26 pmWhy on earth would anyone of sound mind wish to ridicule this post?

Re: Time for a shakeup in training?
If you watch the training videos on the club site you could be of the opinion that they do the same thing every session.dsr wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 5:25 pmI think the mild dig at the OP wasn't because the post didn't make sense, because it does. It's because the post is obvious. Of course the training staff know about mixing things up. You might as well put a post on a Costa Coffee page suggesting that they use hot milk in their lattes - they already know that, it's unnecessary to tell them.

Generally been the same for the time Dyche has been here, don't take a throw until the framework is set.Antmass wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 3:05 pmTalking about throw-ins. It seems that only the Right Back or Left Back are allowed to take them even if there's a quick one as a choice. Quite often the other side have time to get into defensive shape whilst we wait for the correct thrower to arrive. Anyone else notice that?

I've often wondered about that myself, doesn't make a lot of sense if there's quick throw available to keep things going. I guess Dyche must have his reasons though.

Best poster on here is Mala591. Always posts something interesting and fun and has the holier than thou posters eating out the palm of his hand.
Keep them posts coming mate, in these times a bit of light relief from the seriousness and bickering is always welcome

To get sarcastic and indicate you have no right to suggest anything because we have qualified coaches is not the best way to respond.
A direction this messageboard has tried to move away from in recent times.

Got a week without a midweek game. This is exactly what they need. One hopes they have had or are going to have at least two days off and then back in today or Wednesday.
Re: Time for a shakeup in training?
And in turn, the opposition defence gets set.
Highlights the safety first approach we deploy, it runs through the whole team in various situations.
We often hear the "fine margins" line trotted out, that's just another term for winning tight games, getting a bit of luck either scoring or keeping out a goal, and playing the % game.
Mr Dyche often speaks about not concentrating on the opposition rather just doing what we do well.
We dont really adapt to the opposition, we dont exploit any weakness the opposition may have, and struggle to shift style, set up, formations etc in game
Saturday was a prime example of that, and theres been many more.
Ask us to play football with short sharp passing, break a team down, or divert from the hoof and we really struggle
Was it Norwich away where we created almost zilch against an already relegated 9 man team?
