I was just thinking this puts to bed any thoughts that JR and Vydra are good enough to start.

Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Spurs a team in shocking form losing 5 out of last 6 in the PL.
Sadly, today, Spurs looking in a different league altogether.

Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Even if Sean Dyche was stupid enough to follow your advice, I’m sure the premier league would have something to say about playing such a weakened team!Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 2:36 pmI was laughed at last week when suggesting playing the U23s at Spurs to give the lads a rest.
This chasing shadows isn't going to do us any good for the up coming games.

Congratulations...you have managed to exceed even yourself in terms of posting horse sh1tRight_winger wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 2:34 pmConsidering Mee was the only one stepping up out of Sync with everyone else and leaving Bale unmarked.
If he hadn’t then he would have Bale marked.
He also been caught in no mans land a few times when Tottenham counter forcing Tarkowski to try and cover for him pulling him out of position.

Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
No team has ever scored 10 goals in one game in the Premier League
Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Our results tend to get a bit hidden when the likes of Palace lose 7-0 at home to Liverpool and Southampton have lost 9-0 twice in two seasons.DCWat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 2:38 pmThey’re quality teams but there do seem to be some sides that Dyche seems to struggle to set up against, at times.
I’d be interested to see how we compare against these teams to others in an around the bottom, over the years. It feels like we get more than our share of these sort of hidings, but perhaps that’s not actually the case.
It’s chalk and cheese to our usually solid defence.

Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Rednapp just said that Burnley's midfield aren't close to being in the game and are allowing Spurs to run straight at a our back four. I couldn't agree more, I know it's my constant complaint and but we need a total upgrade in midfield and or a complete change of tactics in midfield.

Until we get some pace into the squad we'll continue to struggle.

Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
We are probably on for our lowest ever scoring season already at this stage with 18 goals for worse than 1971 when we scored 29 in the whole season and got relegated.

Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
It’s a phenomenon that has occurred often under Dyche. Typically away against a mid table side. The midfield 4 sort of drift, neither pressing high up or defending deep - easily passed through. Always ends badly.Vino blanco wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 2:40 pmRednapp just said that Burnley's midfield aren't close to being in the game and are allowing Spurs to run straight at a our back four. Wonder if Richardson might get a few mins.
Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Spurs have lost 5 of last 6 games which puts this into perspective. Just hope he gives Richardson a run out. Can’t do worse. Spurs have 11 points from last 36

Well played Westwood. Sorted Son.
Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
I can guarantee you that everyone of us critiques the game while it’s going on, when we are at the games, with those sat around us.
It’s part of watching the game, having an opinion of what is going on. It doesn’t mean that people aren’t supporting the team - not that any such support would have any bearing via an Internet forum!!

Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
I wouldn't say we've been bad in attack. Look a lot better than the last game. Just a shame we didn't attack like this vs West Brom.THEWELLERNUT70 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 2:38 pmI can't believe people think we aren't doing to badly because of how Spurs are playing. We have been w@nk from back to front and could easily be 6 down. It's an easy game when you are afforded all the time in the world to pick a pass and build a move. Even more so when you have a few quality players. Where's our press, where's our up and at 'em?
Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Heads have not gone down. We are still playing.

Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
If Mee had stuck to his job instead of crazily stepping out on his own then he would have been in a better position to cover Bales run. By stepping out he left Taylor looking the mug.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 2:37 pmOnly Taylor played him onside although I appreciate that doesn’t fit with your agenda.

Rodriguez needs to hit that better. Should have been a goal. Let's see a better performance second half.

Re: Tottenham versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Tarkowski also, Mee was completely unaware where the rest of his back line were you don’t play the offside as deep as that without knowing where your team mates are. It was a poor decision which cost us a goal.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 2:37 pmOnly Taylor played him onside although I appreciate that doesn’t fit with your agenda.

His daughter has sneeked onto the island with the team, but at least they’ve reunited with Sarah and she’s safe.
